Ship to stars quest

After I discover premade ship and lunched into space the quest did not end.
How long I must wait untill scanners find my old derlict ship?

Keep a pawn on the science console looking for the ship bow. It is random how long it takes. More scanners more chances.

The quest should end. Let me be sure it's end condition is firing correctly.
