imperial reign
so I was wondering, what period would the mod go through like how cool would it be going from empire using clones wars units like AT TE etc (maybe even clones) but have those get phased out with the better empire units like the AT AT (or stormtroopers)

from what ive heard from the occasion far future info drop on coreys youtube channel there are plans to expand the order 65/66 routes. however, once the cis was defeated the empire was more fighting "bushfire" wars against early rebel cells, republic loyalists and cis holdouts outside the first few months to a year and from what ive heard around the place the ai and engine arent very good at modelling or dealing with this style of warfare.

I was just thinking about that myself. Part of me now thinks that Imperial Reign should be a huge add-on to FotR to have more cohesion. As 00yiggdrasill00 says though, it might cause a handful of errors due to how different the Civil War is. But my thing is that I would like to keep the huge fleets that I have built up through the clone wars as to not start from scratch by time of the Galactic Civil War when at this point I already have a large number of Imperial and Tector class Star Destroyers. I think it would be cool to implement the Stormtrooper research to slowly phase out the clones and then of course go from having the KDY contract to fully develop it through more research to have constant access to the Imperial Class Star Destroyers. My idea for the rebellion is to have story mechanics to where rebel cells will just pop up on either one of your planets or a remaining hostile planet. The obvious downside is that it would be near impossible for the rebel cells to build up anything of worth without me just sending a fleet of Secutors or otherwise to quickly stomp them out. Next possibility would be to have them pop up with a sizable fleet to begin with scaled on what your population is. Maybe there could be a shift after you conquer all the planets and the rebels have somewhat of a "corruption" mechanic.

It won't be an add on for FOTR. It will be its own mod.

Yeah, we have no plans to include whole thing into existing mod, the only thing that may and most likely will appear in both FotR and IR - Reconquest of the Rim, with it's own unique sets of units and mechanics in both mods. But other than that, IR will be ENTIRELY different from any existing EaWX mod (including RR).
