Unbelivable FPS drop in main campaign map when half way through
Hi Playing SWEAW MOD fall of the republic and I'm about mid-way through my save game now the game fps has completely fallen off ships takes for ever to build or move the system not sure what the heck is going on in space battles and ground assaults are fine even the large scale ones it's just the main map that you control everything that's broke now. I loaded up the new save and the game runs normally can someone explain how this has happened and how i can fix it, don't want to start a new save as I've sunk 10s of hours into this current one. Before anyone asks I've got a beefy PC with 32Gb of ram etc. Any help fixing this would be appreciated thanks :D

Galactic level lag is usually caused by too many units existing, often when a faction gets reduced to 1-2 planets they will just continuously build whatever cheapest unit they have, since they can't afford anything bigger. This often results in a planet having a fleet of 300 gunships in orbit, which lags the game, because each unit is tracked separately - in this case the game has to track 300 times hovewer many individual gunships are in the squadron (this is one of the reasons why buildable fighters were removed). The only solution is to find the fleet and destroy it.

So on this save i haven't fully whipped out the separatists yet they still have about 25-30 planets remaining so surely they haven't built a massive fleet like you said, unless its the hut clan that only have like 4 planets remaining ?? Surely the developers can stop this from happening no ?
