and then go through the mod files and read them. That's how I learned how to add new emblems.
to add new emblem you have to:
1. edit 00_intelligence_agencies.txt (in "common\intelligence_agencies") to create new agency with new agency name and to define country that's going to use it
2. include the new two framed emblem in the "gfx\interface\operatives\agencies" directory
3. make the game recognize and load the new .gfx file (put the
spriteType = {
name = "GFX_your_file_name"
texturefile = "gfx/interface/operatives/agencies/your_file_name.dds"
noOfFrames = 2
}
script in the "interface" directory)
You can open and edit graphic files with getpaint.net and all other files with Notepad
jut to be sure , what kind of emblem should i use ? is it .dds
sry to bother you
can you specify what a two frame emblem is ?
Can you create it based on screens?
gfx\interface\operatives\agencies
I've learned everything on my own by reading through the game files and other mods files. That's what I would recommend to anyone who wants to learn modding.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hearts of Iron IV\gfx\interface\operatives\agencies
but it depends on the folder where the game was installed in the first place.
