Any way to adjust spawn frequency?

By default, so many things spawn so often that it feels too crowded and hyperactive. I'm hoping there's a way to make encounters more rare, more of a surprise than something to constantly expect.

I agree. Not sure how hard it is to implement but a spawn frequency percentage would be nice.
