I didn't want to clutter up the comments section with more info on what i brought up before. Basically any ship will spawn in, fly across the sky, and then gain altitude and fly in circles until it runs out of fuel from what I can tell. Ships with working parachutes will just sit on the ground safely. No chute = bad day. Just an FYI, I know you said you were working on it.
