My experience with Nightmare Harvest.
At first I was quite intrigued by Nightmare Harvest. And it was well reviewed by many, at least from what I've read up online while looking for my first SR custom MOD.

Naturally, I wanted to play a fresh character for the MOD. The story appears well crafted with interesting world building and conversation options that mirror the original games quite well, with some spice to boot.

So far so good...created a character (Went for a melee adept with some points in Conjuration for that Haste Utility). Damage seems good, encounters not too tedious.

Next up - got to the part where your character and Jin infiltrate the apartments to look for his brother. Cut through the thugs and up to the 6th floor, no problem. Jin is a very good support character considering he is AI controlled and the follow-up corridor was cleaned with ease and satisfaction, even get an upgrade to my melee weapon at this point. Cautious as I am, current progress was saved right then and there.

What follows is the reason I uninstalled this MOD with no prospects of ever returning to it. Upon advancing forward to the next area (A makeshift BTL lab), enemy turn started and my character got gunned down immediately (From full HP pool to 0).

Alright, I think to myself - THAT just happened. Although it was a bit weird that you get attacked immediately with 0 opportunity to position yourself. I wanted this to be 'Very Hard', and very hard it was.

Reloaded my Save TWICE afterwards. And twice was my character gunned down to 0HP from max as soon as I entered the area. This on it's own, warranted an immediate trip to 'Unsubscribe/Remove' land.

In short, BIG Kudos for the story, world-building and writing. And 1 BIG minus for outright terrible encounter design (At least for brand new characters, that are not intentionally min maxed to be able to take a bunch of lead to the face without an opportunity to even take a first turn).

Importing a character would work, yes. But that's just not the way I want to do it, or the way MOD description above fully recommends it.

Regards,
