Stumped? (THE [POTENTIAL] SPOILA' ZONE)
Are you stuck but pretty sure you aren't bugged? Ask here and I'll do my best to provide a cryptic clue.

GENERAL TIPS

- Check your mission items. Most will provide some hint as to what to do next.

- Pay attention to inspection text. Some of it's there for flavour, some of it isn't.

- Do the legwork. Return to old locations. Talk to different people. Some of them will provide valuable clues. There are a few different ways to overcome most of the big story obstacles, and often the best (and cheapest!) way isn't the most obvious one.

- Read this thread! If you're stuck, chances are, someone else was too. Give this page a skim and see if I've already answered your question.

- Stuck in combat? Do some exploration. You might find some new gear and extra karma to help you out. Make sure you spend that starting cash on a new weapon, some better armour, and at least one medkit before tackling the first major dungeon area.

- Total noob? Here's my suggested character build for players new to SRR who want to roll new characters. Dump most of your starting Karma into SMG, dodge and body. Throw a couple points at a support area like Decking or Spirit Summoning, but wait to emphasize those. The Shambles is a dangerous place, and the first few hours there will be a lot kinder if you know how to handle yourself in a fight.

Candy shop: is there actually a live woman that the Mechanic is beating up in the north of the area, and can she actually be saved? I've tried every option that came to mind, and was unable to reach the room. Can't help but feel it's something obvious that I'm overlooking.

You have to talk to her husband before getting into the joint first if you want to save her. He lives in the alley behind it.

Shamju Corp: Like I've mentioned before, I've already spoken to Tanaka and have wandered around nearly all of the available maps and spoken to tons of folks and can't seem to find a way in to steal the thing for the Comanches. Also, have run into some legitimate bugs (see bug page).

If you're still looking for the way up to the CEO office, there are a couple ways to do it. You can charm the receptionist into a date and either seduce, threaten, pickpocket or kill her for it. You can buy information from Doubledog that opens a dialogue option with her where she'll give you the key. If you have the Corporate ettiquitte, there'll be a free version of this option too. You can also buy a blank keycard from the tech dealer in the market, take it to Shannon's computer, and either code it yourself or pay someone on the black market 1000 nuyen to do it. Then, once you're in the office, you need to solve the "memory" puzzle to open the BTL safe and steal the Chaiman's memories.

So, I'm in the part with Doctor Gardner. I've tried this before, and one of the "Down the Hole With Me Backup" died... the second time, both. I had a discussion with the thing inhabiting Gardner, both with one of said Backups and the consequences of their actions, and now without. I can walk around, and interact with three things - my stash, a docwagon pickup, and a computer with some research entries. Of interacted with all three, read all five entries (on number five, clicking the "..." logs you out), annnnnnnnd... nothing's happening. There's a locked door, but there's no way to really interact with it, no other conversations are popping up, and it's basically a lot of nothing. What am I missing here, or am I in a bug? (before the second time, I tried clearCache, thus the second time, but that didn't fix anything)

Hey Arcturus, so you aren't getting the bit when he tells you to disable his containment thingie? (i.e. When you interact with the computer, the option to do so isn't available?)
Arcturus 23 Dec, 2013 @ 10:45pm
Yep! Definitely not getting that.

Okay! Weird! I really don't know what's going on there, since I can't get it to do that in test and others seem to be getting through it. But it's definitely nothing you're doing. I'm working on a redundant trigger that *should* force that dialogue to fire in the conditions you're describing. I'll update the steam version of the mod before bed, so hopefully everything should work better tomorrow.

Thanks! It's really excellent, this was my only hangup.

Alright, dude, I pushed a version with the new trigger in. I also tweaked the ally AI a bit to keep them from wandering off, which can stometimes cause problems like this. Like I said, I'm kind of shooting in the dark here, so let me know if this actually resolves anything for you.

Sorry for posting it here again, since I did it at the main page as well. But since it may contains bugs, I do it here again.
I can't find the camp after getting the multi dimensional con...,erm , key. That shaman tells me the entry could be anywhere, it gives you a feeling of "no, don't go there". The3 only spots I can think off are the window with the ghost to put your hand on, and the spot where you get your hais sheered off your leg. Won't work. No acces to the yakuza complex behind the gates, either.
But I have a problem with multiple quest entries. Like I did get the key, the talking to someone that triggered the Lonestar event again. But only with no enemies in the building again.

Herz -- look for the pink light.

Thank you very much.
Arcturus 24 Dec, 2013 @ 5:29pm
Yep, everything works as intended now. Thanks!
I've acquired the recording for the Comanche, but when I go back to give it to their leader, there's no dialogue option to hand it in. Am I missing something obvious?
