Horses:
84 total skins split into 7 color types and then into 3 sets for 12 skins of each color type.

The portion below still works but is no longer required to gain the horses in this mod. See method 2 in getting the skins below. Exotic fodder is required for the rhino skins. For the horses, fodder may end up being put to a different use eventually.

Each color type has its own unique fodder (Exotic Fodder) that is fed to a foal in the stables to obtain a horse with a skin from that color. Each foal (Foal, Sturdy Foal, Swift Foal) is assigned a different one of the 3 sets for each of the colors. For example Sturdy Foal will always give a horse from set 1 no matter which color and Foal will always give a horse from set 3. The skins are split fairly evenly across the sets so no matter which foal you use you will have a chance to get a variety of horses.

All the current skin sets are finalized in their placement so any updates to skins won't be major changes to patterning (bays will stay bays for example and if they have white one them they will still have it). I may at some point re arrange the sets but all mounts with my skins will keep the skin they have when / if i do that.

Exotic Horses, the feat to learn to make Exotic Fodder, is learned through the Feat window on the Survival tab and require knowing Stablemaster.

Exotic Fodder is created in the Firebowl Cauldron.

To get the new skins:

Method 1:
-Get any original foal (foal, swift foal, sturdy foal).
-Craft an exotic fodder (blue, gold, brown, tan, zebra, or mixed) at a Firebowl Cauldron.
-Place foal in a basic stable with only the exotic fodder for the color set you want.
-The foal will then grow into a horse with a skin from that set.
Depending on the foal and fodder it will have 4 different horses it could become.

Method 2:
-Get any custom foal from this mod.
-Place foal in a Basic Stable with plant fiber.
-The foal will then grow into a horse with a skin from that foal's set.
Each foal can grow into 1 of 4 different horses. Each set has 3 foals with skins similar to those found in their set.

Horse Meshes:

All the horses in this mod have been given a modified mesh based on the original horse mesh. Modifications are adjustments to the legs, head, neck, mane, and tail. The changes are based on various real world horse breeds. This just helps give them a slightly more varied apperance though in the future the "breed" may also determine what stats the horse is better with. The new horse types are pony, riding, light draft (draught) or war horse, clydesdale, shire, and zebra.

In addition to changing the meshes, all of them have had their scale altered to be more appropriately sized. Scaling is set so the male character at scale 1 is 6 ft tall. The height ranges for each type or breed was then calculated from that. For example clydesdale is scale 1 (default size) and pony is scale 0.7 .

The zebra mesh is only in the zebra set. The others are scattered through all the sets. This mesh change and scaling will effect all horses from this mod only, it does not replace the original mesh on the official horses and those of other mods. The new meshes and scaling have been done to every horse in this mod including those that already exist.

Foals:

Foals have been slightly reduced in size. They are now a better size compared to the adult horses.

All the various foals now spawn around the map where there are herds of adult horses. Each color set has 3 foals specifically for it. You can convert the original foal, swift foal, and sturdy foal to the custom versions by feeding them Wild Food in the Training Pen.

The 2 versions of the custom foals have been simplified into just the placable versions. The inventory ones still exist for now but are no longer obtainable. They can be converted into the placable versions. Use a Training pen to convert the inventory only foals. Wild Food Converts them into pet-types that can be placed in the world. Foals type can be found from their name in your inventory, ones ending in "_inv" are inventory only types.

These new foals also give another way to obtain the horses in this mod. Each foal is linked to one of the sub sets for its color, just like how the original foals are when using the fodder. When using these new foals you only need to feed them plant fiber as if you were using the original foals to get the original horse skins.

If you place a foal and later want to raise it, you will need a mod that allows you to pick up thralls and pets such as Better Thralls . I use this mod and have ensured that my horses and foals work with it.

Herds:

Horse herds and custom foals now spawn in the world. This is initial placement and is not finalized. Some herds may get moved, removed, or added depending on how they end up actually fitting into the map. Herds are set up similar to the shaleback npcs, they only fight when attacked and will help each other in a fight. I have tried placing them in areas that seemed empty and a good fit.

Herds are in Exiled Lands only, no herds have been added to Siptah and wont be unless that map is added to the dev kit.

You can use Pippi or any other mod that allows you to create custom spawners in game (or even just spawn from the admin panel). If using pippi spawners to add custom herds, the horses are listed as horse_knight_color_number_wild where color is the set and number is which of the horses in that set (1 - 12). Foals are listed as foal_color_number_wild with the same colors as the horses but numbers are only 1 - 3. The entries for my horses and foals that do not end in "_wild" are for the pet version and have a different ai assigned. Only the wild foals will give the pet version when interacted with. If you are doing custom spawners, it is up to you to figure out which are the ones you want and to set it up yourself.

Rhinos:

This mod now includes rhino skins as well as 2 extra rhino types (may add more later). The basic rhino which is already in use with the Siptah expansion is joined by the furry rhino and the tusked siptah rhino. All 3 are set up just like my horses, grab a calf of the type you want, put it in an animal pen with the new rhino fodder, and you will get one of 4 skins for each type. All the rhino saddles will work with the new rhino types, but there is some clipping and not everything will align or look right with every saddle (for example a saddle with horn decorations on the tusked rhino which doesnt have a horn there).

Rhino calf is used for the basic rhino, Siptah Rhinocerous Calf (Variant A) is the furry rhino, Siptah Rhinocerous Calf (Variant B) is the tusked rhino. The icon on the calf should make it obvious which version it is for.

Saddles:

Saddles is learned through the feat Exotic Saddles on the Armor tab and requires Novice Saddle-maker.

Saddles are from meshes and textures found in the game files. Not all of them are available on their own in the game.

Other:

Basic Stables is a smaller stable and should fit in with any place you want to use it. It has full functionality but only takes a little more then a single foundation and looks like a flat pile of hay, would fit well being placed directly on the ground or even in a stall in a built stable.

Basic Stables is learned through the feat Basic Stable on the Survival tab and requires knowing Stablemaster.

Basic Stables now allows all my horses and foals to be placed in it.

All stables and animal pens should scale their occupents to the right size. Alpha and greater types will be larger then their normal versions, horses and foals will show at proper scale as well. This should work on every pen and stable item as long as it uses "BP_PL_CraftingStation_AnimalPen" as its parent class, this mod now replaces it with a slightly modified version. This mod now replaces "BP_PL_CraftingStation_AnimalPen" with a version that has a small bit of added script to make it scale.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

This mod does not block or override the original 4 skins or the black and white skins from the DLC. DLC skins can only be obtained from the original 4 skins, I am not changing this.

I will not be doing any changes at all to the original 4 horses or to the 2 dlc horses (black and white).
