You could add something where you can purposely cripple or surgically cut something that slowly kill them overtime and will require surgery to fix.

You could dissect dead or alive people for their organs so you can use them surgery.

How about an item that will make someone seem dead for a while until the person brings themselves back to life using a secondary item. This would be useful for Traitors in my opinion.

Liver removal, for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles. Though I could see it potentially selling high at outposts and make a character very weak to ethanol products? With or without the mechanics it'll be hilarious.
