Clay Soldiers can have ideologies in the new expansion, which both allows them to get free items that inflate their value, and allows you to cheaply and easily manage high quality rituals due to them contributing to your ideology's numbers. The "T1" androids in the "Android tiers" mod have code that allows them to be exempt from being able to have or be affected by ideologies, so that would be a good place to check out if you wanted to look into making ideology interaction a toggle or outright disable that functionality in clay soldiers.

This is kind of unavoidable as it stands, because new colonists created to explicitly join your colony (such as "wanderer joins" events, not -could join- like "pod crash" events) will always have your ideology, and that includes clay soldiers.
