Un Nouveau Monde - Colonial Overhaul

Neighboring Colony Integration
I really like seeing how some colonies will integrate when all our provinces are filled by one colonizer so I'm wondering if something else is possible.

Let's say Spain colonizes all of Colonial Carolina. plus one neighbouring province in Florida. The rest of colonial Florida is colonized by France.

Would it be possible - once all of Florida is taken - that the lone Spanish Floridian province could be integrated into the neighbouring Spanish Carolina/San Juan colony? Just as a way to help clean up the colonial map as more regions can lead to more lonely provinces.

Also - it could possibly be expanded that only once all provinces in neigbouring colonial regions are filled...if any colonies share borders they could merge - though I feel like it defeats the purpose of what you're going for with the mod haha.

It's already possible for a player to do so using the Grant Province interaction. However, I'm pretty sure the ai will not do so.
I can go around this using events, but it's not a very clean solution and may cause problem elsewhere.

I really enjoy the mod! It's my pleasure! I'm always happy to test anything. I've got my personal laptop right beside my work laptop all week - and lately I'm just running different EU4 mods in Observe mode to see how the AI handles different changes. It's the best way to enjoy the games without taking me away from work lol

And yes, ideally I'd like to see the AI be able to patch together their colonies through granting provinces to neighbouring colonies, but of course there's more important things to tackle.

I just suggested it since you already had the mechanic that recognized when certain regions were completely filled by one nation to combine colonies - I thought maybe a similar thing could be done to handle these extra provinces if an entire region was colonized regardless of it being one country - but it would likely require some constraints on borders, distance from other colonies, etc...

I know I wouldn't want to write the code lol these are just my thoughts

Excited to see what else you're able to incorporate!
