I'm Not Sure How To Use The Chromatic Illustrator
I though it was just crayons, but I keep getting told there's nothing that the chromatic illustrator can be used for there. Anyone able to make it work?

I think it's just coded nonsensically, the active part code syntax for the object blueprint is:

<part Name="DeployableInfrastructure" ModPart="ModPainted" DeployNoun="illustrator" DeployVerb="activate" Cells="1" />

Dunno if this actually works, since the box of crayons base game code just uses <part Name="Crayons" />. Dev has made it clear that he/she is an amateur coder, which might explain my discussion post about using the ToHit code for that other item...

Huh. Thank you for checking.

Yeah it's a half-baked implementation of a feature that hasn't totally been implemented within the base game. Functionally, it applies the "painted" part to a wall when used, enabling you to potentially learn a new secret. That's really all it does.

It's definitely one of the jankier items in the pack as far as "code" quality goes, but I like fun little junk items like that.

So it's used on a wall that has been painted to possibly learn a secret?

That's pretty cool. I like the ideas of this mod, and it certain inspires me to think up my own items.

Nah, use it on an unpainted wall. The wall will become painted with a random piece of sultan lore.

Oh, okay. Very nice. That's actually really cool! Higher chance than 3D crayons? If so, then this item is a great item as it is more likely to happen than 3D crayons but with a lower reward. Very nice.
