so it seems getting rebuffed is much worse than your friend being sold to slavery, cannibalism or losing organs now, AND it stacks between colonists

bug or feature?

It stacks across attempts, which going by simple division means the individual rebuffs are only a -4.25 mood debuff. This is a smaller debuff than a bad hangover or being insulted, which is -5 in vanilla, and about the same as any of the sleep related debuffs (cold, heat, outside, floor), which are all -4.
