FAQ - Q&A
Common questions i expect to see a lot.

Q: My displays aren't working!
A: Please read the mod description. Hold C and click on the On/Off Buttons. The displays only work if your render settings are set to deferred and the vehicle's engine is turned on. You can change it under Options > Graphics > scroll all the way to the bottom. If it still doesn't work, my custom shaders are incompatible with your hardware.

Q: Where are my UI buttons?!
A: When you get close to the vehicle, the main selection buttons show. These let you chose which system's UI to enable. The pop-up UI was designed for a render resolution of 1920x1080 or higher. At lower resolutions, clipping may occur.

Q: My vehicle won't move!
A: Have you turned on the engine?

Q: My shots don't go where I aim!
A: Are you using the ballistic computer correctly?

Q: Does this spawn on <insert_Map_Here>?
A: No it does not. And it never will.

Q: I can't spawn in the vehicle/Item!
A: Either you are using the wrong spawn codes, your mod didn't install correctly or you have another mod with overlapping IDs. Restart your game and/or reinstall the mod.

Q: My game is lagging! Mod bad!!!11!1
A: When standing right next to the vehicle or sitting inside of it with either of the systems enabled, it has a tendency to crop your frames. That's the drawback of the advanced systems. Don't worry however, the vehicle was optimized to the point where if you stand about 20-25m away from it, your fps will barely dip. This makes these vehicles extremely optimized for mass scale war servers. On top of this, you can use the vehicle without any of the advanced systems, but keep in mind that advanced system users have the upper hand in combat.

Q: I can't enter third person mode!
A: While any of the main systems are enabled, third person mode or camera control in general is disabled. Go back to the system selection overlay (by pressing the button with the same name) if you want to enabled different perspectives.

Q: I cant see the explosions!
A: You're most likely on a server. I've implemented a workaround that should render these effects up to 2km away, however they don't always seem to work correctly.

Q: The vehicle is loud!
A: That's intended and likely wont change.

Q: My Camera is stuck in the vehicle UI after i died!
A: Just click the system selection button and it'll go away. If the vehicle blew up in the process, the UI will be automatically turned off.

Q: The mod is too OP/UP compared to <Insert_Mod_Here>!
A: ZWS mods are designed to be balanced between all ZWS content. This balance doesn't take into consideration other mods.

Q: WTF my turret is slow and it actually takes time to lay the gun on target! WTF is wrong with you, gimme back my instant turning turret!11!1!!
A: Reject traditionalism, embrace realism.

Q: The tank is very shaky when my speed is between 0 and 1km/h!!
A: Drawback of having 12 logical wheels. Holding your handbrake key (Spacebar) will stop the shaking, speeding up above 1km/h will also stop the shaking. Or simply switching in and out of the driver seat stops it too.

A: Please use some common sense and try to figure things out before asking. It saves time and effort.

will you be re adding the 240b? i really liked the multiple secondary's. although without the gun that crew position is somewhat pointless.

The M240B has been moved over to ZWS- Dependencies, not removed from the mod. In fact, if you check the update log, it's been improved!

It is possible but I don't think I will. That defeats the whole point of creating it in the first place

I totally agree, but when this thing faces T-90 or T-80 from other mods with the same health and damage values it just don't have any chance and is unpleasant to use in some situations. It's also uncomfortable to use, as you feel like you have 30 FPS when turning the turret. I like your take on Leopards more just because it's lacking this mechanic of the slow turning turret and you can actually zoom-in INSIDE to have a better look at the monitors by clicking right mouse button which I think is kinda realistic as you would just put your eyes closer to the monitors if the situation needed it IRL.

Starting with V3, the UI is most likely going to be reworked: it will no longer be a physical display inside of the tank, rather it will be a screen overlay. Pretty much the same as aiming with a sniper-sighted weapon.

My vehicles were never made to be fair, balanced and/or competitive compared to vehicles from other mods. What you lack in CQB turret mobility, you make up for in thermal sight and "accurate" shooting up to 2km. The spread will also be adjusted in V3 as i think it's way too much right now, hence the "" marks.

Further down the road, I'll be releasing Russian counterparts to these vehicles, which you'll find to be even more useless since their turrets (on certain models) turn way slower.

I have 2 Questions:

A: Will you be making more packs, like a soviet pack with T72, T80, T64, T55 etc
B: Is it even possible to make a complex maintenance mechanic where you have to repair the engine, fix tracks, clean the barrel etc. If you could add it in, it would be amazing for custom servers since while it would be rather OP, you are spending half the time just trying to maintain the damn thing

A: Yes, I plan on releasing more later on but it's not a priority project so i cant set an ETA
B: You can via plugins but you need to make a database for it and assign a CSteamID to each vehicle to keep track and apply stat changes in real time and also sync them across the server and any new players. It's a hassle but can be done. Not something I can do as plugins are not exactly my territory.

Can you make an admin tank based on the M60 tank? It must have the same features of the tanks you made (like the turret traverse, turning, and suspension), The barrel length must have same length of the BMD-3, make 2 variants, the admin and the owner, the name is up to you.

You are more then welcome to commission me for such a mod as long as you can afford it.
