Sounds like you have a bug of some kind, a pretty big one I'd say. I'm not sure how many mods you are using, but it's always best turn them all on, one at a time, till you can reproduce the same error and that will at least give us an idea where to start looking, and you'll have a good ida of what's conflicting.

you should be using the Grand Campaign with this mod, I haven't gone through and updated any other campaigns. Make sure you're using the latest version of DEI with this mod, if you're still using the grand campaign beta or DEI 1.28 we have versions available for those versions on the workshop currently. If you're 100% you're running the correct version, on the correct campaign, next I'll need to know what nation you're playing as, and what particular error you're having.

I.E. Playing as Rome, spy won't upgrade. Try to explain what exactly does happen if you can as well, that will at least give me some place to look for any potential errors.

Also are you using Increased expensive agents? We use it a lot around here, very helpful and saves agents if you ask me.

Thank you for reporting, I do appreciate it, and hopefully we can get your issues sorted quick and easily!

looking into this further, it looks like that first level up for a spy, general, diplomat, or champion doesn't provide any skill points.

You're going to get more as you level up, by the final levels you'll get 4+ points to spend per level...

no, towards the end levels, you will get that many, it builds up. I'm sorry, I forgot totally about this, and didn't include it in the patch notes, so my fault!

I'm glad you're enjoying the mod, you next level with your spy should net 1 point. Just to be clear, you won't see 4 points till you hit 7 or 8.

also I highly recommend increased expensive agents with this mod. It increases the number of agents and armies you can have up to 20, as well as a more fleshed out experience in total for agents. You get more agents, but their recruitment and offensive actions costs are a lot higher now, so it should make you use agents a lot more realistically. For instance before dropping 10k on an assassination, you're gonna want to move up your best assassin. Also with the increased costs the AI doesn't spam them like they used to before, so it really saves agents, and lets you use your spies as scouts! Finally giving us some kind of scouting system in the game. Mote details on that mod page, but it's part of the Ultimate DEI collection!

I'm playing as Rome, and I'm noticing that Carthaginian armies don't seem to be affected by the limited movement range.
My armies can only move a short distance (as intended by the mod), while the Carthaginians seem to move as normal. I've got Carthage sending armies from the west side of Sicily all the way over to Consentia in a single turn.
It may be affecting other non-player factions, but as I'm early into the game, I haven't noticed yet.

Is it possible the reduction to movement range has only been applied to the player faction?
damianvincent  [developer] 16 Mar, 2022 @ 12:55am
No. Some characters will have longer movement than others, it depends on a number of factors, especially with all the traits in DEI. Level up your characters, you will have another attribute to apply upgrades to if that's valuable to you and your strategy.

Also, if you have comments about the mod, post them in the proper forums. Especially if you develop what might be considered a 'competing' mod. If this doesn't apply to you don't take offense.

Does that mean one can still fill up all perks, like in dei 1.3 now, e.g. filling all skills, army traditions, agent skills to the very maximum (10 perks, all level 3)? Or does it change in your mod, and if, how does it change?

by the way, thanks for this great work and quick updates! 12 tpy is really the only reasonable way to go for epic campaign experiences.

It starts off at zero for that first level, I hate giving away exact values, feel it takes some of the luster out of things, but you can expect it to go up by one every two levels or so, with a few extra 2 skill point levels in the middle.

I have to agree as well, especially with how well the seasons are done in this mod, to only have them for one turn is denying yourself a lot of what could make this game great, namely the realistic experience of the campaign. Of moving out in the spring, with goals you need to acomplish in certain time frames to fit within the campaigning season. To retooling and refitting during the winter months and planning the springs coming offensive. I

It all just runs together at 4 tpy and gets boring faster if you ask me. This adds that ebb and flow, that keeps it interesting. Not just one long run blobbing the map you know.

Understood, thanks for the prompt reply.
