Are we free to try and patch for mods on our own?

Neat. I might see if I can get it to work decently with Vox Populi like how there's the Enlightment Mod port.

Let me know how it goes.

Karharot, unfortunately there is nothing definitive in the log; however, if you haven't tried clearing the cache, that may help. If your not familiar, this is the procedure:

On Windows:
Remove contents of C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_COMPUTER_NAME\Application Data\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\cache

Then have Steam verify the integrity of the Game Cache:
1. Open Steam
2. Click Library
3. Right-click on Sid Meier's Civilization V
4. Click Properties
5. Click the "Local Files" tab
6. Click "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"

Also, if the unit files are corrupted, that could cause a default to another unit art (soldiers or otherwise). You may try unsubscribing and then resubscribe to see if it clears.

Hmm. Done both and nothing changed (unless saved game keeps those things separately). Fortunately it isn't a critical issue and so it can be ignored.
Thank you for trying to help.

I'm sorry I couldn't be more help in solving the issue, but I appreciate you sticking with the mod; hopefully there are no more issues. It's a shame the raft model doesn't show up, it's good art (credit hangman).

This mod is awesome and I really enjoyed most of the changes. The game crashed in the end beyond turn 700, but I guess it was because the two superpowers of the game demmanded way too much memory to move all their infinite troops (in info addict, both together had almost 2 million soldiers). My pc is very low end, so it was unable to process their turns when they declared war to each other. Anyway, this mod should be compatible with info addict; the monarchs, by s-man; smart ai; civilian promotions; leadership reformation; panthoon bridge; no free potery for the ai; agressive and expansionist ai (it makes an awesome challanging immersive experience); and raze capitals and city-states, all of them together at the same time.

I would like to know if is possible to make this mod compatible with the Gaia Core Mod, wich compiles and add several changes proposed by other famous mods, like RED. While the Gaia Core Mod changes a bit the tech tree, the only weard thing I found when running both at the same time was the Gaia mod's tech "corporations" was avaliable on ancient era, but outside this, everything else seemed to work, until an unavoidable crash on about turn 200, probably compatibility issue that finaly showed itself.

Playing uncivilized! and Gaia's Core Mod working together would be one of the best civilization v experiencies, as both complement the gameplay in a way that expand greatly the possibilities and overall enjoyment.

Time permitting, I may look at Gaia Core mod in the future. The author of that mod may also work on it. Smart AI may have something to do with the large number of AI units, but not sure. I've noticed some oddities when I've used that in the past. If you haven't already tried it you may be interested in the Custom DLL mOd Pack for Uncivilized! in the workshop https://steamhost.cn/steamcommunity_com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2688381447 . Has some of the features of Gaia Core Mod, but not nearly as comprehensive. I'm continuing with expansion of Uncivilized!. I hope you can stick with it, crashes aside. Sorry for the delayed response, I just saw your message.
