Biome Overhaul
  • All Biomes:
    Destination outposts will now always be a lot or slightly lower than your starting point, unless you're traveling to a destination that's higher than the current one. This should give you more of a feeling of traveling further and further down.

  • Cold Caverns:
    - Basic: Default level size, slightly more complex main-path, possible side-paths, increased ice spire count, added floating ice chunks.
    - Advanced: Default level size and slightly increased level height, more complex main-path, multiple possible side-paths and floating ice chunks.
    - Transition: Same as advanced but with slight chance of more holes to the abyss.
    - Maze: Highly increased level size and level height with a lot of twisted paths, a ton of ice spires and floating ice chunks.

  • Europan Ridge:
    - Basic: Slightly increased level size, more floating ice chunks and ice spires are still present, but in reduced quantity. Large gaps to an endless abyss!
    - Advanced: Same as Basic, but slightly increased level size and more holes to the endless abyss!

  • Apothic Plateau:
    Slightly larger level size, large abyss mountains that sometimes reach all the way up into the level to create a plateau and floating islands all around the main-path.

  • The Great Sea:
    - Basic: Larger level size, large open water with no floor, high amount of floating ice chunks, some ice spires, some piezo crystal islands and an endless abyss!
    - Narrow: Slightly larger level size and similar to the cold caversn with cave walls and tunnels. High amount of piezo crystals make traversal through these tunnels dangerous and possibly time consuming for careless captains.
    - Piezo rework: They are now more dangerous, have a higher emp and explosion radius and can now stun characters. General health advice: Best to use submarine turrets. If you're outside the submarine and you can see the crystal, don't shoot it! Get some distance and shoot blindly in it's direction.

  • Hydrothermal Wastes:
    Increased level size, more complex main-path, increased side-paths count and lava vents with increased hull damage scattered along all paths.
