Not only do I have a fear of these (a stupid reason I know), its extremely tough having to also manage that and having to make or find a healing item just to cure it.

I'm not really sure how to change this because I haven't experimented with the quest generator very much. Tenants and other npcs will also occasionally generate quests for Avikan / Denelaun crafting items too, even if you aren't an Avikan, or don't have the appropriate recipes / tanning rack to work with- so it's not an issue that's exclusive to Maple32.
That would be kinda nasty though.
If the latter it might just be using the last loaded recipe or something, IDK (I usually don't do quests)
It seems to choose one of the available recipes at random
I might look into it someday
The REAL cause of the lag is the fact that there's ~800 particles active at the same time, and taking the particles away makes it less foggy.
On top of that, healing water is a light source and light sources are resource hogs on windows for some reason, and since there's a lot of it on haze planets, it's a perfect storm of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to make both potato and non potatoes alike tremble
I'm currently trying to reduce lag a bit more, not sure how many frames I'll get back though
