A sort of best of both, where the consumables from your mod work with the need bars from eat drink sleep
If we can have a config to turn off your needs and i guess have a file that links your consumables into the other mods needs
My reason for this is i really like your models there so fitting but i also like the hud bars and the eat, drink, sleep features
I usually add 10 food packs to the respawn vehicles go get some waste to start the process.
Making it so that gravel mixed with waste could make dirt would be a nice option, maybe 10 gravel + 1 waste could make 10 dirt or some other balanced ratio. (See the mighty Martian, space pirate, greatest botanist on the palnet, Mark Watney)
I do not know if it is possible to assign multiple "effects"/jobs to a block, but it would be nice if the Oxygen farm could double up as a less effective (maybe Survival kit level) organics producer?
Add a new block to create a magnetic field, which would take a lot of conductive material (silver and gold) and a lot of energy to power the electro-magnet.
Add radiation accumulation near damaged reactors and ion thrusters.
A good alternative would be config options to disable the new hud... Both mods offer a vanilla+ experience, but both seem to fail at it in different ways. Eat.Drink.Sleep. by only offering a single meme food (chips), and Vanilla Survival Experience by taking liberties and changing the entire feel of the hud element.
It's kind of a shame imo, especially given that the only other alternative is Daily Needs...
Have you had a look at Plant & Cook that's designed to work with EDSR?
