Could we please get a message when stepping into them, either a story or a hint what is expected of us to do. Honestly right now I find it rather annyoing with these collumns.
The archon city in the underground was hostile, no diplomacy possible. The mission was only given after I approached it from the south. But I encountered them many turns before passing through in the north of their city domain. Also after giving mission, the borders were still closed.
Just after the archon city in the north where on has to cross the river between enemy city and I believe a wizard tower. That was an amazing battle. The enemy really amassed a massive army and I had to use all kinds of tricks to push through those defences (i build a new bridge just north to flank the enemy).
But after that decisive victory the enemy had no defences at all in the north and just got steam rolled.
The teleport in the north let's me go both ways. The one in the south only lets me go from east to west.
Any way to get the trapped army back from the very north?
May be make the fort stronger defended (the fort was too easy to capture anyway) but once defeated allow to use teleport both ways.
The end of the second scenario was very fast. While in the underground I had some tough fights, on the surface it was just a matter of a very few turns before it ended.
The guards of the collumns of champions left their position and attacked when entering the surface. Was some suprising challenge that they didn't guard their post. But they only attacked 1 stack at a time, which made it a lot easier to win.
There were a few bugs with messages. Wrong character saying something. Character repeating the same message said before.
The battle in the middle on the surface. I thought it would be damn hard. But it was over within a few turns without losing a single unit. I just killed the leader and it was game over for all enemy units. I actually was suprised about this fact.
And after that the next great battle has also been denied to me. Closing in on the final enemy city, I just get the message that this scenario has been completed.
Obviously I want to attack and defeat the last city and get a message that the enemy achieved to flee in the last second.
So the end was a bit disappointing.
The third scenario. It's hard to choose. Would be great to get some hint, that one scenario is easier or ridicously hard (I would take the ridicously hard one). I went for fire and death.
I liked the battle in the north with the sole hero who gets archon reinforcments to storm the enemy fort. That was quite a challenging battle and I liked the difficulty of that one.
Didn't get further than that.
I will see what I can do with it. I plan to do things with this campaign around the weekend. It takes time to play the maps myself to discover and locate bugs.
I will see if I can put some indicator on the "Collums". Its a sort of easter egg still and not officially hinted anywhere. But a sound should be doable..
Mostly I will reset all scripts and markers. It should help as I already know that they work.
I belive its the transition from one content to another which is the culprit
But I never got on good terms with the scripts
Wasteland Expansion has so many campaign scenarios so its gets teodius to try them all. Luckily I had very good support from testers
Shadow realm campaign has sadly suffered alot more than it should since the custom content overexceeded the memory limit and to be separated which may not be ideal, but neccesary. At least Im in control of updates :-)
Sadly I dont have as much time as I want as Im also working, keeping my partner busy and maintain some sort of social life. Wish I could spend equal time on everything.
I believe I solved some issues with the second scenario. While I have sorted out some minor, but the mayor bugs should be solved.
Due to moving content between "main expansion" and to this campaign content only. Many of the markers are set up properly but unavailable for some reason. However replacing many of the markers with new id seem to fix the broken ones even if its uses the same scripts.
So a new update has been released. I will go over the other scenarios as it seems to be something going on in the other scenarios aswell.
Some feedback about the 3. level (frost way).
- optional mission: "The lost ice mage" , I didn't manage to complete this. In the first portal to the shadow layer is a winter cave that you can't move from once you're on the field. Maybe this is a bug.
- every time I load a save, a conversation sequence with the frostling Birnhilda appears
I can provide a savegame if that will helps
Thanks for your words.
I will investigate those things. This campaign is still riddled with bugs. I will investigate those and update them
