Forcefield Generators (Hangar Doors)
Can't get them to work
Try as I might, I can't get the forcefields to operate. I have a small cargo area on a ship that's around 6x6 squares big, all of the edges covered by these things. I go into a control panel and group them up together, but it doesn't matter if they're opened or closed, turned on or off, there are no changes.

I did notice that the creator mentioned on the description that you gotta force them to close down, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. What exactly I'm I doing wrong? Or did the forcefields break down after an update?

And yet no answer? I'm experiencing the same thing. Version 1.199 and it's never worked for me.

If it helps, I did eventually learn what was causing that for me.

My ship has a piston with a large magnetic plate on it, to extend it and grab smaller ships, rovers or just chunks of debris out with me through jumps from planet to planet. Turns out that if the magnetic plate is touching the forcefield generators, no matter how much you turn it on or off, it won't work and atmosphere will just leak outside as if nothing was there.

However, you can just grind it down, turn the forcefield back on AND THEN rebuild the magnetic plate, and that fixed it for the moment. I can even extend the piston and retract it with no loss of oxygen or temperature. ♥♥♥♥ if I know why.

Sorry I'm late.
Forcefield Generators still works as of v1.199. Grouping makes no difference in function, nor does turning them on or off. Whatever is going wrong is on your end.
Ensure that your forcefield sizes are correct, and that you close them in the K-menu while they are turned on. If there are any gaps where blocks can be placed, the forcefields will not "seal" a room.
do i need to put it along all four sides of the space im trying to seal?
whenever i use the things they act like beam blocks, can't go through them but air always can no matter the setting.. any ideas as to how to fix this or am i in the dark?
