"Can you take the Chi Novice start and add a young bonedog or a sailback?"
(I'll probably use a bonedog or another interesting vanilla animal for that, Sailbacks are from a mod and I onbly want to have depedencies with the base game)
That's an oversight I thought I had it fixed, I'm gonna fix it soon (I'll give it 1 or 2 days to se if there is other bug there so I won't make too many updates). Thank you for the report!
EDIT: I've added the report to the "Known Issues" segment on main page for clarity
EDIT 2: Fixed! (hopefully)
I don't care if it's expensive, I don't care if it takes like 300 chi to make. It would be the best backpack if it were larger. (And was just 4x4, not 4x5, so it doesn't take up the whole back slot and I could also put a lantern one on and have light.)
It could even use the same models as the 2x4 inward and outward, because you can tell them apart easily by the size.
As things stand I was seriously considering getting like the Umbra backpack mod, or the Narnia Backpacks Upgrade from Godsend, who I've always appreciated as a Kenshi modder... And then I was thinking... but they're not chi and this chi mod is really cool...
Even the chi links as they are have been really nice to have. There are starts where you spend the first about 30 days of the game wondering why the hell you elected to start in a desert this far away from a town where you could MAYBE get SOME kind of backpack.
In this... yeah, I'll just set up a chi link or two and one of the lantern ones, great, now I don't have to build flurescent lights or struggle to find a backpack or any of it. I AM the old hermit on the mountain.
Hey! Thank you for your suggestion!
At frist I thought you were talking about the inventory size inside the backpac so I reread a few times and I understood that you are talking about the backpack slot size in the character itself (let me know if I got it wrong please!)
Ok, so I indeed thought on adding a bigger variant for links(20x20 or 18x18) at the cost of using more slot space, but of course considering leaving space space for the Dipika links. I'll probably add this in the next update!
Can I ask you about some feedback about the mod? I'm struggling to find opinions and I really need them
EDIT:
So while I agree on the Idea, I think that even 18x18 is too large for a backpack. For comparison, Large thieves bacpack has 14x10 and a Garru backpack has 20x20. I'm feeling more inclined to 15x15 honestly, I'm currently testing.
EDIT 2:
Ok so 15x15 it's a nice size indeed, the cost will be the same (1 metal amalgam + 1 chi) and will be unlocked after a research that unlocks before researching chi links (at the same time when dipika links become available), research cost 2 chi / 5 hours and it'll be called "Chi link +".
It'll be included in my next update, so thank you a lot for the suggestion!
Let me know if the Chi Link + is what you needed!
Too many things are spinning in your head, and most likely you will not do this, because this is too much work, but I will write anyway.
Since chi is chi, I believe that there should be schools (factions)chi of that were at war with each other. Again, since chi is chi, it would be possible to produce chi in these schools, but it would work in the same way as hostels in bars, that is, not for free, but for a fabulous sum of about 1 million kats (well, or more). Naturally, the production speed would be scanty, and increased from martial arts. Schools would not provide technology, but sell products, and again for a lot of money. The schools could be set up on the mountains, because there are places with ruins, they could be used like these schools.
I'm not sure if I follow correctly your idea, but doing something like that would involve creating dialogue, NPCs and a base.... And I'm not interested on doing any of that for now.
BUT if you want to do it, just use this mod as dependency and I won't have any problem! Thank you for your suggestion anyway!
Some of these mods add an item that's more advanced than the advanced first aid kit, which has 120/100 efficiency so that if someone had 120 skill, they're healing at their fastest rate rather than being capped at 100, I think... At any rate, it's 120 rather than 100 for some reason, and the item has something like 2000 charges.
The suggestion if you need a TLDR is Healing +++ or Ultimate Healing or something if you don't want to keep whacking plus signs onto things, which allows an Organic Healing Orb that has 2000 charges and very good skill bonus, like 120/100, 150/100, whatever's clever, and a Robotic Healing Orb that is 100/100 instead of 55, and has 1000 or 2000 charges, and a Splint Orb that is 100/100 instead of 55 and... come on, 100 charges? Could we maybe push that to 500, at least?
If you don't have endgame armor, a primary cause of death in Kenshi is having your speed reduced from having messed up legs and accidentally finding a group of enemies you can't take on the way to town, then getting hacked to death by swords or eaten by them if they're animals, fogmen or cannibals.
I was thinking since your healing items are a completely different item type, it wouldn't be hard, or break the vanilla stuff, if you just... made them way better, albeit maybe at a cost of some kind.
Perhaps ultimate chi research would require a special book you can only get from a master at Chi, and maybe that's one of the faction leaders, so you have to pick a side to ally with and then they'll teach you the good stuff to use on your mutual enemies? I'd also be fine if you could just get healing orbs that are better than the advanced kits from the base game. The whole reason I like this is the magic-like aspect that add a whole new, interesting realm.
Another thing I'd note is that the Conduit crossbows don't seem to actually do damage when equipped by some of my characters. I don't know if their stats are too high so it isn't able to parse what kind of damage they should be doing, or they miss because something's rolling over... I haven't tested with regular crossbows. It's happening, and I'm not sure if it's your mod or other stuff I'm doing, but it may be something you'd like to know.
Hi!
If I understand your suggestion, you are asking for more powerful healing items right? I'm not interesrted on adding something more powerful than Healing orbs ++ for now btu there won't be much difference besides making vnailla items completely useless (I still use vanilla items in extreme cases when I can't afford the food consumption for Evulsion and that's the intention I have with this). In any case, more powerful items will only heal you faster, you'll still have the same debuffs and you'll need the same time to recover because that's part of another set of internal mechanics in kenshi regarding wound regeneration, stun, blunt and cut dmg regeneration plusn blood regen...
Also, regarding some master or faction, I'm not interested for now on adding characters/factions for now because it's a pain on my end, but I've considered something among the lines of getting stuff from bossess (primarily new forbidden meditations), if I ever do that it will be in another mod.
I have, regadless, intentions on doing in the future something like "chi armor" made of "amalgam leather", but they will be worse version of their vanilla counterparts, but it's still on development and I need to test it a lot, making clothes from scratch in kenshi is really tiresome and I'm not even sure if I can pull it off with my limited noob kownledge on 3d modeling yet.
Regarding the conduits, the regular conduits miss a lot, they do neglegible damage and most armors can block that, exist primarily as a staggertool or to train. Condutis ++ are more accurate but you can still miss with a low level character.
Can you tell me what conduit you were using? There was absolutely no damage or it showed a "0"? What's the crossbow, perception and presition shooting level of those characters?
Sorry if I dissapointed you by not taking your suggestions but I encourage you to keep doing them because I'm not close to add stuff if I like the idea! Thank you for engaging with my mod, means a lot to me :)
My answer:
"Currently I'm taking a long break of Kenshi because I forced myself too much to play for testing this mod and leaving it as polished as I could... I'll think about it in the future, but probably would involve just tweakings to the values and some fixes on meshes rather than doing clothes. I'll probably just work with vanilla stuff if that's the case, but for now to be honest I'm not interested on doing that. I'll copy your suggestion to the suggestions thread so I'll not forget about this in the future.
Thank you for playing this :)"
I hope you are doing well pal!
