Bug Report Thread
Before posting anything to this thread, answer the following questions:

1: Do you have Music Modding System installed? If not, install that and retest. Music Modding System is required to make this mod work. Also make sure you don't have any mod installed that might be incompatible with Music Modding System.

2: Are you using the Alternative Mod Launcher? If not, install it and retest. This might fix issues with a lot of your other mods as well.

3: Is your issue with music mods in general, or with this mod in particular? If your answer is the former, try looking at other music mods to see if there are solutions there.

4: Is your issue related to having other music mods installed at the same time? If yes, disable all other music mods and retest. While this mod should be compatible with other music mods, there may be some override issues if multiple are downloaded at once, something that is beyond my ability to fix.

5: If you've done all of the above and you still have your issue, post it in this discussion thread. Please be as thorough as possible with your report and keep in mind though that I barely understand modding. If I don't know how to replicate or fix your issue, I can't help you.

I love the tracks, but this mod is not only quite loud, but its volume is seemingly unaffected by the Music Volume slider in the options, unlike all the other music packs I've tried.

I don't have much hope on getting a response for this, but is there a possible fix?

@StaunchStache I don't know what your issue is. I just tested things on my end and the volume slider works perfectly fine. Do you have any other music mods installed or anything like that?

same, I originally did but I've disabled them. do i have to do a config reset then check again? it was the persona 3 soundtrack, it was cute at first being able to change from bombastic symphonies to funny jazz and vibes but now nier only seems to be affected by changing the master volume slider

@Aeterna25 Try that config reset and see what happens. As far as I'm aware, this mod doesn't touch volume control at all, so I'm not sure why it's not working for this mod specifically for some people.

So I tired deleting the config file and it worked for a while until i relaunched it. Then the problem happened again. would it be possible to add a config file to modify the volume of the songs until the problem could be found? No rush tho, don't mean to come off demanding. Love the mod tho.

@Aeterna25 Unfortunately, if the music volume slider isn't working, then the only other way to change the volume of the songs is the change the volume manually for each file in the XCOM mod editor, and I don't know how to tie that to a config file, or even if that can even be done. I'll take this issue to the XCOM 2 Modding Discord server and see if anyone has any ideas. I'll let you know by tomorrow if anyone has any suggestions. I'm glad your enjoying the mod and I'm sorry that I can't help any further, as I don't suffer from this issue, and I don't know why others are.

@Aeterna25 Good news and bad news. The good news is that I found out what the problem is and the fix is relatively simple. I've been meaning to update this mod, so I'll fix this bug at the same time. The bad news is that school is starting up for me, so it will be a while before I'm able to implement a fix. Until then, you'll have to use the Master volume to adjust the music volume.

dang it, i just realized the problem as well. I think it was just one (or two?) track that was being controlled by the master slider. I don't know enough about nier so it's kinda up in the air, I know it's one of the tracks for combat. Also, good luck at school man! education should always come before video game nonsense lol
