Suggestions
Here's a quick few suggestions for your mod.

-Stables 1-2 Have no increase in value until you get level 3 stables and acquire Macedonian cavalry. Could always add Thessalian Cavalry.

-Might be interesting if Greek cities and the Diadochi had different cultures. This would make sense as the Greek state's constantly wanted to separate away from the Diadochi when they werte under their influence.

-Add more settlements in Asia minor, odd that the Seleucids would so few settlements there.

-Add more unique traits, one trait could be for the Diadochi that would lower their loyalty as that was a huge problem for the Seleucids and Ptolemies who suffered a lot from civil wars (Not the Antigonids as much in Macedon)

- Remove militia hoplites from Diadochi factions

-Give the imitation legionaries better skins as the exact Roman look alikes are just terrible.

- Add at least one more settlement for Armenia.

If you don't want to add any of these, thats fine. Just spit balling as I like your mod a lot. I know you're trying to keep the vanilla feel but I think most of these are reasonable. If you ever need ideas you can add me on steam. :)

Thanks for the feedback!
I was already considering some of your suggestions, especially about Armenia. That faction really needs another settlement.

I have a question. Do you have any suggestion for a unit to replace the diadochi militia hoplites?

I enabled Sparta on the 04Jan22 branch of the mod. When I bribed a general and he became a general in my faction the game would not let me move him out of a settlement or any of the troops there. I think it has to do with the Spartan General Units being set to 40 scale. If I can remember correctly, when I used the Rome Rerostered mod, it only allowed the Greek Cities General Unit to be set to 15 scale and I never ran into the same problem. I think it has to do with the General Unit being horse for other faction generals and the hoplite numbers being applied to a calvary unit. Since this branch is now unusable for me now, I will mod the newest branch and report back if it fixes this bug.

Just checked the Feral Interactive Github and it said, "General Units have a max of 31 Men."

Thanks for the hard work on the mod. The constant added features are great.

I'm going to set the unit scale to 30 just in case...
Thanks for the report!

You could just have the level 1 barracks recruit militia pike phalanx and have level 2 barracks give them 1 experience point.

-Giving Macedon hypaspists would be cool too, maybe the requirement to train them would be level 2 or 3 barracks with a blacksmith or just a higher temple.

-Changing the model for Diadochi body guards to something more suiting than Greek cav would be ideal too.

Since the game does not have real hoplites (only has pikemen), I could just rename the unit "Militia Hoplites" to "Militia Pike Phalanx". Sounds good? Or is it just a lazy solution for this problem?

I'd say thats a lazy solution to the problem, its lame to have Diadochi armies field mainly militia hoplites in the game. When I play as Rome or someone else and I fight Macedon, I want them to field a proper phalanx army. Just my opinion but having them be the exact same as other small Greek states is kinda meh.

So...what is your opinion about the new Diadochi unit roster?
Kaiser ☻™ 19 Jan, 2022 @ 1:10pm
Just checked it out, looks awesome! I'll have to play a game or so to see how the balance is but that looks good in my opinion. I would probably switch the imitation legionaries skins and the early general body guard away from Greek cav.

I'm about 75 turns into another custom Sparta Campaign. I haven't run into any problems with my 3 bribed generals so far with the unit set to 25. I'm currently on the 15Jan branch.

@TheHandofNod
Is there any reason why you prefer the unit set to 25 instead of 30?

A lot of times I subscribe to many workshop mods. There are things I like with some mods and some ideas I don't like. I have been using your mod (because I think it's really good, while maintaining relative lightness of resources, due to me being on a 2018 macbook pro) and modding in features from other mods. I plan on adding in more officers like I have seen in RTR:IS. I think the extra officers might upset the game engine.
So far I have added:

recruitable generals
1. level 3 docks with recruitable mercenaries as long as you have the troop region factionwide
2. a really expensive Spartan Agoge building for imitation weaker Spartans (Picked Hoplites)
3. Trade colonies that boost trade income but you can only recruit town watch/militia infantry
4. Military colonies that kill tax income for level 2-3 troops, but can't recruit town/militia
5. Skiritai and Thorax swordsmen to offset taking swords from the hoplites with the javelin animation.

I don't publish my mods due to me importing some resources/ideas from other mods. Once again I think your mod is really great and you have built something truly special, and look forward to you advancing the mod. If you have any questions about things I have done feel free to ask, but I am sure you know more about the files than I do.

@Boicote

Excellent mod with perfect balance between vanilla mechanics and new faction limits imposed as such. I have been looking forward to one more possibly two more Italic factions. Namely Etruscan League and additional city/Greek Colony in Southern Italy.

Let me know your thoughts? This is the only region of the map that needs an overhaul and careful tweaking as to not disrupt the balance of Rome versus other factions. It could prove important in the future for other reasons as well.

I just know that we need a stronger Hellenistic presence in Italy. Rome should play like the other factions. Constant concern about being encircled by the AI and it should really challenge the player economically and militarily.

You would get the impression of being vulnerable as Rome was in it's early days. A perfect immersion that respects reality.

Its a little late for Greek states to be in italy around 270BC, I mean Pyrrhus was just defeated not too long ago.
And also as in Total Conquest Etruscans can be a protectorate with good relations to Rome as to add balance between expansionism and to give the other factions in Northern Italy a chance to challenge the ascendancy of Rome.
