2. From Kuumeyay to the end of Baja, it was NOT Piman, but a variety of other cultures. does not matter much, no tribes there, so ignoring is possible.
3. the Aztecs did speak a Piman language, but their culture was changed, so do not know if I would change that, BUT the Totonac were quite different, and should be another culture - maybe part of Zapotec? or Zacatecas?
4. in 1444 there was NO Comanche tribe, they were part of the Shoshone. It was not until 10 years or more after the Aztecs were conquered that the horses can to the area, and the Shoshone split off the Comanche. I guess you would need an event for this.
5. Potowatomi (ashinabe) were different tribe and culture from the Michigami (siouxian)! and in 1444 they were separated by 1000s of miles - the siouxian Michigami around S Lake Michigan, while the Potowatomi (ashinabe) were with the Objiwa & Odawa (not in game) as "3 council fires" on east coast near Nova Scotia! There the "3 council fires" left the coast when Europeans entered the Cabot strait (needs an event, i think) and moved to Michigan, where the Potowatomi (ashinabe) and the Odawa left, and the Objiwa continued on in 1580s to north shore of Lake Superior.
6. The Fox and Saux tribes were on North shore of Lake Huron in 1444, They moved to south shore in the 1600s when the Seneca were pushing in the Beaver wars. But the culture area seems right, so no big.
7. the Yadkin province be Siouxian: the Monacan, Saponi, and Tutelo tribes (all not in game) were siouan having moved to the east coast when the rest were moving west from Ohio area.
8. The Mescalaro/Apache culture area is a bit too far south in 1444 - it also in Texas, until the Comanche pushed them further west in 1724, after the Spanish took their southern zone.
9. The Mosquito tribe in Central America should change their culture to Pirate when other European pirates show up. Runaway slaves, Indians and pirate were a mix to change any society!
That is my $0.05 worth, hope it helps.
Thank you very much!
1. This is a country type change, I can work on this but will be in next update or upcoming
2. Will research and change the culture in the update
3. With Totonac & Aztec I simply did not like the placement they had being ahistorical, however I can separate them into their own culture group of the region
4. See this is fixable, but difficult because it would need to be an event fire to get the group to appear in every playthrough, so it would perhaps be best I leave them as a next door offshoot of Shoshone for now so the game has them when Europeans show up
5-8. Will change in the upcoming update, thank you, even will add some year changes for later starts
9. Same issue as problem 1 and will be resolved as such
additionally I will get rid of Bungi in game start and add into later and make Metis part of the culture group
as well as a Kosovo fix I planned (unrelated)
and play around with it now
Pimans are Oʼodham speakers who are Uto-Aztecan
I will make this change now
For I shall make for now one culture called Hokan
which will get
2491 Hwalbay
876 Yavapai
2467 Kuumeyay
4639 Paipai
2620 Nakipa
865 Cochimi
as well as 869 T'epot'aha'l & 2480 Shasta
The Takic Languages are more accurately northern so I will use Shoshone names (for my first update, I do want to research actual ones though, but I will use varieties as dynasty names) and grant them
they will get Tachi 2478 4635 Taaqtam & 867 Cahuilla
The area below that 866 Guaycura is Guaycura & Pericú which are both isolate languages, it makes sense to make them their own, but I may end up making them the same culture group as Hokan, but as their own
868 Chumash own
I will add this culture
this is in regard somewhat to 8, though I may need to do more later
The Fox tribe definitely needed moved and I will do that. I will relocate them to the base of the St. Lawrence River Valley which is where they were at province 4912 & 4892 until later in the game
The Michigami (idk why the province is called that) were located in 4904 & 4903 (Chicago) not in the area the map gives them, I will make them Chiwere for now, but could make own tribe later, in the late 1600s 4903 should become Miami tribe
and Tequistlatecan
