Global Revolutionary Movement [GRM]

The exact roots of Global Revolutionary Movement [GRM], a violent revolutionary uprising that managed to unify many factions of different ideologies against the ideals, influence, and involvement of the Western world over the Middle East, remain unknown to this day. However, analysts and open source intelligence have sourced the origin of the GRM all the way back in Yemen, at a certain point during the unrest of the Yemeni Civil War when US forces and ISAF elements were still occupied in Afghanistan and ISIS was prominent.

GRM is a controlling body and a coalition of many factions under its banner – they started by appealing to a few rebel groups, and grew its influence from Yemen to Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan. For years, their inner circle went under the radar of Western intelligence (CIA, MI6, etc). Islamic Republic of Iran played a big role in supporting and augmenting the revolution, but eventually ceased support due to how powerful and dominant the revolution became. By the time Western intelligence picked up on the existence of GRM, the revolution had already spread like wildfire – toppling Middle Eastern countries one by one, starting with Iran.

The GRM managed to integrate factions such as the Taliban under its wings, and they continued to sow disarray among the countries of Middle East, including Afghanistan. The growing threats of the GRM and a coup that toppled the Iranian government forced US military forces to withdraw from Afghanistan, paving the way to a hectic evacuation from Kabul Airport in which they abandoned billions of dollars of equipment. The revolution continued to trample over anything in its path, with insurgent groups under GRM control causing chaos all over in Iraq before conventional military formations of their own, most of which formerly belonged to the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, stormed into the country amidst the havoc. This forced the Iraqi government and military to withdraw, fleeing into Saudi Arabia along with a mass of refugees unprecedented in quantity.

The United States government declared GRM as a revolution that spawned the “axis of all evil”. Several nations within the Middle East banded together under the banner of a military coalition -- United Arab Forces [UAF] as a result in order to survive and quell the GRM uprising. With the facilities and equipment they have seized control of, the might of the revolution continued into Syria, overwhelming the Syrian Arab Army, forcing a withdrawal of the Russian forces in Syria as well, as they spread into the rest of the Middle East and Central Asia, even including cells in Africa and undercover cells all over the world.

The hybrid warfare conducted by the GRM of destabilizing a country with insurgent groups and civil unrest, followed by conventional military formations for a take-over, is not to be taken lightly.

United Arab Forces [UAF]

The growing threats, influence, and anarchy of the GRM uprising which has spread like wildfire have forced several Middle Eastern countries to cry a call to arms -- to form a military coalition called the United Arab Forces [UAF], led by Saudi Arabia in tandem with Iraqi government in exile. As a new dawn emerged upon the Middle East, the war between UAF and GRM factions rages on. The US government and NATO have authorized massive aid programs to their UAF allies, supplying them with small arms, armored vehicles, aircrafts, intelligence, military advisors, anything to supplement the UAF’s power against the GRM – including license and tooling for UAF forces to produce their own assets such as Abrams and Bradley fighting vehicles (downgraded, of course), F-16 and other jet fighter components, and AR rifle platforms.

With the increasing amount of media outlets report of the conflict unprecedented in amount throughout history about the conflict, it may be confusing to get one’s hands on the exact information on the context behind the war. Certain analysts and open source intelligence have mentioned that the root cause of the conflict went way all the back since 2014 during the Yemeni Civil War, in which Saudi-led bombing campaign in the region was sharply condemned by the international community during that time. According to the Yemen Data Project, the bombing campaign has killed or injured an estimated 17,729 civilians as of March 2019. The US government provided intelligence and logistical support for the Saudi-led campaign. What happened during the Yemeni Civil War remained to contain a shroud of mysteries yet to be uncovered to this day.

It was not uncommon for Western intelligence services to track down high profile targets in Yemen, such as Anwar al-Awlaki, who was related to Al-Qaeda. Either way, it can be inferred that the popularity and revolution of the GRM grew not only due to its revolutionary, unifying ideal against the Western world and influence which attracted many supporters, but also resentment toward the policies of UAF countries, primarily Saudi Arabia. Regardless of the controversies and what shadowy secrets are beneath, the UAF remains as the hopes and defenders of civilizations in the Middle East against a tyrannical violent uprising that threatens the lives of many people and plagues an eternal chaos upon the Middle East -- the GRM.

Reformations and supports from NATO toward the UAF forces continue to this day, with Iraqi forces or volunteers within the UAF being the most battle-hardened and professional of them all as they were among the first to have fought against ISIS and GRM, and lived to tell the tales.

United States Army [U.S. Army]

The U.S. Army is a uniformed service of the United States of America and is part of the Department of the Army, which is one of the three military departments of the Department of Defense. As the best-funded, technologically advanced, and among the biggest armies in the world, the U.S. Army along with other branches of the U.S. military have bases all around the globe and are able to respond and deploy rapidly across the world within 24 hours to any conflict zone existing in planet Earth. Despite the U.S. Army’s shortcoming in gaining and retaining enough personnel to fit their quota in recent years, it remains to be regarded as the strongest army in the world.

In the past decades, the U.S. has been heavily involved in operation theaters of the Middle East. From Iraq, to Afghanistan, to Syria, the Middle East has been the theater in which the U.S. has fought its longest war in its history – the war in Afghanistan, until U.S. forces withdrew from Afghanistan amid the rise of the Taliban, fall of the Afghan government, and the spreading of GRM-affiliated forces. Following the political divide within the United States, majority of the public are against U.S. military involvement in the Middle East and acting as the “world police force”.

However, in the timeline of the 2020s, a number of conflicts spontaneously combust around the world. From Russia’s “Special Military Operation” in Ukraine or the Russo-Ukrainian war, to the conflict in Gaza of Israeli-Hamas conflict, to the unrest in Myanmar, and the GRM-UAF coalition war raging in the Middle East with UAF forces rapidly declining and being pushed back continuously to their capitals.

Since 2023, the U.S. Army has deployed and placed the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division to the Middle East to train UAF forces and provide security, assistance, as well as necessary quick reaction force that align with U.S. interests in the region.
=====

Other than the U.S. aiding Ukraine heavily during the opening years of the invasion of Ukraine alongside the European Union countries’ efforts, it also continues to supply the UAF coalition forces with equipment and ammunition. But in the time period of 2023-2024, divide within the U.S. Congress has stalled billions of dollars worth of aid to Ukraine and UAF forces, with the Republican-aligned politicians withholding the aid. The United States of America continues to see more disparity and division among the populace and political instability, with the true stance of the nation being called into questioning.

By 2024, however, attacks against the shipping lanes in the Red Sea prompted a U.S. led multinational coalition to engage in Operation Prosperity Guardian, in which numerous U.S. Navy assets in conjunction with nearby British and allied assets, launch airstrikes against Houthi-aligned forces in Yemen. The tension continues to increase with targeting of U.S. military outposts and bases in the Middle East with drone strikes by Iran-backed and GRM-affiliated militant groups which have killed U.S. soldiers stationed in those areas. In response, the U.S. military and intelligence agencies continue to track down and eliminate those related in the strikes against U.S. military personnel in the Middle East.

Many U.S. military leaders have grown restless about the situation and pressure the U.S. government to take action against the GRM-affiliated threats within the Middle East that are also responsible for ruining U.S. interests in the region and targeting of U.S. bases and personnel (albeit, they do it behind-the-scenes). However, the Congress remains to stand still in not involving further U.S. forces in the conflicts.

=====
The turning point reaches its maximum point when GRM-affiliated terror groups began infiltrating the U.S. soil undetected, disguised, under the radar, and then launching terrorist attacks against U.S. bases and populaces in suicide bombings and attacks. This has been an even bigger terrorist attack compared to the event of September 11 (or 9/11) by Al-Qaeda in past decades. Pressured by the public outcry and other factors, the Congress finally authorized a massive U.S. military operation against the GRM rule within the Middle East, dragging the U.S. into a wider conflict that is even more threatening and unseen since the Global War on Terror.

The U.S. Army has sent two Corps into the Middle East, spearheading a counter-offensive against the GRM. With the XVIII Airborne Corps consisting of 82nd Airborne, 101st Airborne, 10th Mountain Division, and 3rd Infantry Division, and the III Corps consisting of 1st Infantry Division, 1st Cavalry Division, 1st Armored Division, 4th Infantry Division, and other divisions being mobilized, this has been a historical monument that will see U.S. forces being engaged toward a very bloody war of the 21st century in the chaotic region of Middle East, alongside heavy British Armed Forces involvement in the conflict plus Australian and Canadian forces.

Most European nations and other NATO members remain in high readiness in Europe, amid the situation in Ukraine and another peculiar Eastern European nation…

  • DEFCON Level (Defense Readiness Condition): DEFCON 3 (DEFCON 2 as the campaign progresses)
  • Units Involved: XVIII Airborne Corps, III Corps, augmented by USMC’s 15th MEU in later timeline.
  • Allied Factions: UAF-aligned nations, British Armed Forces, Australian Defense Force, Canadian Armed Forces, Resistance Forces against the GRM
