And I noticed that fps is sagging due to effects, is it possible to disable modd effects or is it possible to somehow run the game on dx 10? Thank you in advance

i have 2v2 skirmish and have like 20-30 fps and stutter like hell. lowest CP (popcap limit).
is there anything can be set/tweak?

in comparison for GoH, i can do 2v2 max settings like butter smooth.

i dont know it is the AI code or graphical setting or even audio that causing this.

thats normal, i think 60fps wont matter much in fps game, i have this mod installed. and warfighter airland batte. i get average 30fps onn campaign on RTX 3080 i7 11th gen. but i get better fps on skirmish,45++ because of smaller maps and lack of building/structure

but i never reach a point where its unplayble, 30fps average is very playable for me RTS game

CtA is poorly optimized compared to GoH unfortunately

i believe so. Some says that they both using different engines but for some reason, GoH feels more modernized in aesthetic and performance wise.

Something that could improve a bit your PC performances ( but do not expect miracles ):

- Go to your Steam Library , right click on the game and select the " Properties " tab. In the window that will open select the " General " tab and then scrool it down to the bottom.
In the advanced settings box add the line of code reported below ( Case and space sensitive copy it EXACTLY as it is here ) and modify it accordingly to your PC specs.

-refresh 120-maxMem=14000-malloc=system-USEALLAVAILABLECORES-high

refresh = Here set the max number of the refresh rate of your PC screen

maxMem = This is the value of the RAM. Leave some GBs free for background operations. In the sample line above the total RAM available was 16 GB so I've set it to 14 GB ( 14000 )

Leave the rest of the code/string exactly as above.

-- ADDITIONAL TIPS --
In the case you are a NVidia user open the NVidia control panel and check that the following options are enabled:

Power management mode: Prefer maximum performances

Preferred refresh rate: Highest available

Structure filter - Quality: Lower it to the minimum setting if your PC is struggling, Chose " Performances " or " High Performances "

Low Latency Mode: Ultra

GPU Rendering OpenGL: Check that your main video card is selected here

Antialias - FXAA: Disabled

Structure Filter - Anisotropic sample optimization: Enabled

Structure Filter - Trilinear optimization: Enabled

Vertical Sync: Fast

Triple Buffering: Enabled
