Modding Question
For CanadaMan7,

I often, perhaps infrequently, tinker with the code of both remake and clone wars holdout factions. I have run into a variable in the code that I cannot seem to configure.
I am attempting to make a unit available in skirmish earlier than it is typically available later in the match. (for testing)
I removed the research requirements, but cannot seem to locate the variable that dictates station level for skirmish/multiplayer.

Any assistance would be welcome.

Hey Mr. Oddly Fox,
Apologies for not seeing this until now, so I know this may be of limited value. It actually isn’t handled in the unit code, but within the Skirmish Building itself. You can find a breakdown of star bases by level, including what they can construct.

You’re looking in the
Data/XML/Buildings/Space/Skirmish/ folder for the faction Starbase.xml

Hi, i'm currently trying to add another playable Faction for my personal version and would like to know where the drop down menu from the GC is managed so i can select the faction

The game typically calls on the information found in the campaign file that's being referenced. The naming conventions of those files may or may not be straightforward. There are also a number of other files that need to be properly edited/created.

For a variety of inputs and experiences, I would open up a new discussion, so that anyone checking the discussions can see it. It is a valid question.
