Suggestions
Feel free to suggest ideas or features for this submod. I can't promise that I will be able to fulfill it, but I can at least open a dialogue about how likely it is to be implemented.

My friend, you're making remarkable progress even in the mod's fledgling state. But here's a few proposals. These are ALL for the Confederate Remnants faction.

Narratives
--- Custom mini-campaigns involving the recapturing of certain worlds to get new heroes to replace the old ones now lost, involving Geonosis, Cato Neimodia, Hypori, Umbara etc. That way, it provides some form of narrative for a player to pursue that will ultimately lead to additional forces joining the CIS. The rewards may vary as they can involve additional droid forces in both space and ground, financial and even technological advances. Maybe even unlocking units from other factions but with a Confederate spin-off due to Gizor's marvelling adaptations with technology.

Research
--- This is a must have, but I assume you have that on your to-do list already. Give the Confederacy new researches to either produce more specific battle droid armies (more B2s, B3s or even Gizor's battle droid pet projects) and maybe even researching tactical & super tactical droid productions. Let your imagination flourish, my guy.

Quality, or Quantity + Balance
--- The CIS Infantry squads are so tiny, but their tanks are overpowered to a degree for being an army centric on quantity, most of the time. There's like two or three droids a squad (LOL). Give them some more droids since they get instant killed in the first three seconds of a fight. You could physically win battles without using normal battle droids at all that it's sort of a meme. At the same time, the more droids there will be in an army, make them super expensive the more advanced droids there are in a detachment.

--- Because Lucrehulks are crazy enough with their swarm armies and ultra-accurate guns, that I can guarantee you that the CIS will roflstomp everyone in seconds if they just spam Lucrehulks. Create different variations of CIS ships that are specialised, and that way you will increase the unit roster that is canonical to their fighting doctrine and gives players flexibility rather than building "Providence #3527".

"Modernisation" programme? Or just sheer plagiarism.
--- i'm not sure if this is possible but you see the Rebel-One Providence? Maybe there is a way Gizor can have a look at that and go "what a perfect idea". Just to show how arrogant or crazy that insane Geonosian really is that he starts building various ship combinations for high prices. At the same time though, there could be methods for the player to chase in order to make their battle droids more effective in an overall galactic conquest campaign.

Rebuild Grievous objective.
--- The mod does not follow any canon but its own, and since Darth Nihilus of all things is leading the Sith minor faction, have it that Gizor can retrieve "parts" of the good ol' General's body. Gizor will already have Greivous' brain placed in some floating tank or something that keeps it from rotting. With enough expensive cybernetic work, Grievious can return with a free Providence Dreadnought named "The Reborn Hand". Just as a slap in the face to the Empire and everyone else, haha.

Buildings & Space Stations
--- Battle droid foundries will be a must for the CIS, and their space stations should focus more on being fleet garrisons rather than defensive structures. You may ask why that is, but that is because canon-wise, they didn't focus on defensive stations... they LOVE blockades of ships and flinging in reinforcements as much as they can. Maybe a Lucrehulk can be a "space station", or Muun gun platforms and what-not. Though the idea is to make the CIS more of a flexible defence rather than static. You catch my drift anyway.

--- CIS structures could have inbuilt defences inside of them as they many times they prefer to have automated defences and bastions surrounding their factories. Conventionally, the CIS on the defence has no choice but to spare their droids given they usually never have the overwhelming advantage. And even if they did, it's most of the time nullified for what-ever reason. So, perhaps with every building constructed, there are numerous defensive structures around them while still producing units from factories on a defensive land battle.

--- Droid Control Signals / Control Bunkers to enhance units in both space and ground. CIS units are laughably outdated in some ways so it would be a bit of a shocker to see those same units suddenly become stronger so long as the signal exists with extra range, sight view and health.

Unit Rosters
--- Dwarf Spiders, commando droids, OOM droids, magnaguards, as much as you can give them to be honest. There's a lot they can use from both canon and legends. Space is easy to fill, though ground is usually the harder to implement and balance with. I'll leave that up to you.

--- The OTHER Minor Factions & objective screen descriptions:

Minor Factions: Greetings, VICEROY Gizor. My designations as your Primary Liason is Tactical Droid "TX-001", activated per your request and prototype to your droid recalibrative projects. Our resources and droid reinforcement counts are thin, but we have spared enough combat units and advanced warships to re-annex our old core worlds and push to galactic domination for the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Though you must be aware of the now rising powers in the galaxy...

IMPERIAL DEFECTORS: While many of our former systems have been absorbed into the hands of splintering echoes of the fallen Republic, a splintering force has been calculated to attempt a coup in the Imperial's legislative parameters. Imperial forces are mounting a desperate defence fighting on multiple key fronts, and defectors that are reeling from this advantageous tyranny have been revealed. With this distraction, we can solidify our position before they have a chance to recalculate their next movements in our direction. If any negotiation occurs, it will be short... preferably with a mounted turbolaser.

SEPRATIST HOLDOUTS: As you are already aware, our escape from the clutches of the fallen Republic, now turned the Empire, has been proven to ultimately be within successful parameters. However, the conclusions of our escape have unfortunately not gone unnoticed by the rest of the galaxy. The droid shutdown sequence commenced from Mustafar has been but an elaborate scheme committed by a fallen Jedi. Count Dooku and General Grievous are no longer functioning and the rest of the Sepratist Council is not responding to our communications uplinks. We are now reduced to a calculated 1% of our remaining systems being Mustafar and Muunilinst, we have managed to salvage parts of the old General in an effort to revive him. VICEROY Gizor, it is your objective to avenge the failures of the old Confederacy and to rise up anew within the outer rim of the galaxy.

REPUBLIC HARDLINERS: While the Clone Wars have ended, the formation of the new Empire has not been received well by a great deal of its previous inhabitants. The Kaminoans and their allies that managed to survive and overthrow Imperial forces through calculated espionage and embedded anti-trooper insurrections in Imperial territory. Unfortunately, these hardliners are also considered to be our former enemies - the same you had fought. They are seemingly also in conflict with the Rebel Alliance, whom have also recruited our former personnel into their ranks. Deal with them both. It is imperative to adapt to the new Clone Troopers being bred from Kamino. Negotiations will be short, preferably with many Wrist Rockets.

CORPORATE SECTOR AUTHORITY: Our previous allies during the Clone Wars along with the Commerce Guilds have unfortunately turned their profits into a decree of unwanted violence. Various of our remaining forces were betrayed when Corporate Sector security units shut down our battle droid facilities near Bonadan. We do not expect a renewed alliance to be reinstated. All security and battle droid forces have been uploaded with new target clearances. Negotiations are ill-advised.

HUTT EMPIRE: We have captured members of the Hutt Cartel belonging to Jabba the Hutt attempting to redirect a control signal on Mustafar to Nal Hutta. The wretched slime may have had their usefulness with their dealings and begging before Count Dooku, though they are now deciding to take advantage over the loss of our core systems and disabling our battle droid foundries. Much like the Black Sun and Zaan Consortium, they have intercepted our droid control functionalities and are using them to reactivate our foundries to produce our own forces under Hutt control. I calculate that at least 22% of our previous resources are being subverted as we speak and growing. Vaporise them, no negotiations are permitted.

SITH CULTISTS: Data on these forces are limited but given that during the Clone Wars, Techno Union and Trade Federation scouts reported mass-naval-fleets baring the insignia of an older Sith Cult were amassing at Korriban. We suspect that if this is is correct, we should expect that, according to historical data, millenia-old Sith followers are returning to reconquer their territory on a galactic scale. It is imperative to note that they have multiple battle droid schematics that should be considered obsolete. Though I calculate that there is a 50% chance that the Sith have upgraded their armoury since then. Negotiate for the release of their droid schematics at the expense of their breathing capacity.

MANDALORIAN PROTECTORS: During the battle of Mandalore, our forces were unfortunately overwhelmed by Republic clone troopers. Before the loss of the planet, we were able to retrieve data samples indicating the rise of a possible new Mand'alor that is in direct opposition to our objectives. Should the Mandalorians initiate a new crusade, you are advised to leave them crusading back for cover at the sight of a suicidal Vulture Droid Swarm. Hyena bomber squadrons may also commit to this same tactic, with larger explosive proton warheads. My calculations do not expect them to be successful in their new assault on the galaxy, but caution is very much advised. My negotiation transmissions were replied with threats of having my mechanical body being melted into a form of Beskar. All battle droids have been updated with a targeting clearance on their forces.

HAPES CONSORTIUM: From what my memory servos could extract from our previous records, though outdated, the Hapes Consortium is a monarchic-corporation of royal bloodlines that seek to rule the stars. Their royalties must be brought to an end should they attempt an upstart presence past their sector of space. It is clear to not underestimate their technological marvels, for we believe their concrete isolation and complete unknowing of their culture have masqueraded a military build up for the time since the end of the Clone Wars. Negotiations were attempted, but we were politely given the following procedure to melt in lava lakes of Mustafar. All units have been set to shoot on sight.

Enjoy, my friend.

Buildable squadrons for cis I know your gonna say it cant be done it can just make it so a carrier of some kind has to be in orbit the fighter disadvantage is too fierce the Lucrehulk deploys too few fighters. and they need a solid corvette like a diamond cruiser. stations need a tier three upgrade badly. they need some income boosters as they only have Delso. I suggest more heroes likeMarath Voro and kalani and General Kleeve.

In the future or now can you make the Rebels and Republic Friends?
moralescrc 29 Apr, 2022 @ 10:22pm
it would be awesome and maybe bring peace to the galaxy
moralescrc 29 Apr, 2022 @ 10:22pm
if not its ok

@Clonetrooper 69:
Truthfully, I can see this occurring if the Republic manages to become a dominant power in the galaxy and the Rebels are dying off. So this specific request will likely be reviewed after I start modifying faction specific campaign effects.

In groundbattels with the CIS the lack of recon units make it hard to advance or defend against enemys of same or higher strenght. Maybe some adjustments in the sight range of the units can fix that. Problem could be that the original purpose of the droids in the mod as support would be changes, for they can then fight completely on their own.

cis's roster in space is lacking they really need corvettes. maybe Since their a remnant they can have interceptor corvettes, and cr90's this will help since the cis lack smaller ships.

I have three ground additions that would help a lot. Please give us a shield generator that can be built. The turbo lasers definitely help at tier 3 but this at tech 2 would help us a lot more on defense. since defense presently is a lot of work like a lot. I just held off 6 imperial heavy walker regimens at tier 2. So its not easy especially without hail fires presently. A nice decorum touch too would be to give the landing pads both their respective republic and CIS ensignias.

I can't believe I forgot to respond to this until now- this is truly a lot of varied and solid suggestions. You've definitely prepared some interesting ideas and, especially notable, offered a way to get around my lack of outside assets through variants. Thanks for the long post!

can there be clone wars campaign like a battle of the clone wars no empire or rebels or no other factions
CanadaMan7  [developer] 27 May, 2022 @ 9:15am
@Clonetrooper69:
Maybe? There's a lot that will have to be implemented first- GC research and the like. But more importantly, I've never coded my own GC from scratch before. I'll have to poke around and see how feasible that is.

ok i understand
