Known Issues, Bug Reports, and Upcoming Updates
Bug Reports

Bugs are inevitable, and there's only so much one developer or modder can discover through play testing on their own!

Please provide as much information as possible! Locations, characters, skills (either on toolbar or equipped), when it occurred (combat, peace, cinematic), and what was going on. Also let me know if you have other mods activated. If you have videos and don't want to upload them, PM for an email to utilize (but still post here so people know it's been reported!)

Known Issues

Trader doesn't have [book]?
1: Traders only restock with certain events. If you are certain you've NEVER talked with a merchant and they don't have the books available despite the mod being active, please let me know. Traders your HAVE spoken with prior to activating the mod will only have the books when they restock (their inventory will update on level up).

Icons for skills and status effects are just a Question Mark!
Status effects are missing entirely from some skills!
Ensure you have the Cleric - Shared Resources mod installed and above this one in your load order. That mod has the combined texture atlas and status effects for all my mods. Effects like Deep Wound, Might, and Lethargy are contained in that mod and are not available if it's not installed.

Upcoming Updates

As of now, the mod should be considered complete outside of a few minor details. Mainly I need more FX on a couple skills. Outside of that, there will likely not be a substantial update anytime soon.

Additional Request
Please be informative and courteous in reports and replies. Suggestions for this mod that include new features are generally not going to be actionable as the mod in it's current form is complete save any bugs or issues that might need ironing out. Visual issues, animation issues, and the like are something I can check out, but I am very much limited by time, experience and the Engine when it comes to some of that stuff. There is always the chance of returning to the mod for polish and expansion, but we will see.

As for the source material, Guild Wars 2, the chance of adding traps, mantras or tomes is pretty low. I wanted the Guardian to be simpler, since the Deadeye mod did not go over well (between being a bow build, DoT-based, and having absurdly complicated descriptions and effects). Traps are a pain to create. Mantras would have to be complex to work with in the way GW2 handles them, and Tomes have more skillbar nonsense than I care to subject players to.

Me and a friend downloaded this today, in our game the books don't actually work. You can buy them, but if you drop the book it can't be picked up, nor can it be interacted with in inventory. Even if you meet the stat requirements, right clicking makes no dropdown menu appear and you can't learn the skill.

Is there something we missed in setup? does this mode have a dependency I'm unaware of?

I'll have to check it out, but there is no setup/dependencies. Is it every skillbook or specific ones?

I'll have to check it out, but there is no setup/dependencies. Is it every skillbook or specific ones?

Problem Fixed!

Issue: "Disable interaction" was checked in regular (non-source) skillbooks.

When I used the Zealots Flame ability I got turned into a chicken by an enemy and died and when I got resurrected the Zealots Flame was permanent on me and wouldn't go away even after using Zealot's Fireball. We had to reload to an earlier save in order to make it go away.

I'll check it out. It might be a fluke but I'll make sure and edit this if I find/do something.

EDIT: I've poked it a couple times, I don't have a ton of testing I can do at the moment, but I've killed my chicken-form character with Zealot's Flame's tick and with a different attack, and both times the fire was extinguished entirely as well as the aura. Not sure what happened.

There's currently a bug when you're targeting the Sword of Justice skill, it doesn't show the max range and everything is just black and white. The skill functions as normal though

Hey. I seem to have the same problem other people are having. The books showed up in act 1, then in act 2 they didnt show up besides warfare. Even after leveling and vendor refreshing they still weren't there. I loaded a single player game that started in driftwood at level 9 and all the books were there.

For some reason playing act one messed up the vendors maybe. Mod selection didn't change between single and multiplayer.

There is nothing I can do about that, then. If the books are there on a different run but not the other, it's either the game or another mod that's conflicting unfortunately and this is the first this has been reported for Guardian.

If you have other mods that alter vendor offerings - weapons, materials, skillbooks, vendors themselves, I would try seeing if deactivating those ones prior to a level up or refresh helps.

Unfortunately this happens to guardian, elementalist, and assassin. None of them are showing up for whatever reason.

I just played through all of the tutorial, act 1, and entered act 2 with only my mods, LeaderLib and Cheat Commander. Upon entering driftwood at level 16 all skills from all mods were available at all relevant traders.

If you want to send me your mod list (preferably exported into a zip with Laughing Leader's Mod Manager) I can try to see what is conflicting, but at the moment the issue doesn't lie with any of my mods. Some modders are not appending vendor lists and are instead overriding them, which causes issues for other modders who use vanilla traders.
