Stats
Here is an text dump of all the possible stats thought up. Obviously not all of these would be on the weapon

Natural Selector:

Idea: Support and/or mobility bow.

Support: Allow the sniper to earn a one-time use special arrow that supports teammates
Mobility: Allow the sniper to earn a boosted vertical mobility so he can reach sniping areas he couldn't before

Possible Positive Attribute Ideas:

***Minor Stuff***
+Faster Charge Rate
+The bow can be pulled back indefinitely without penalty
+Gain Health on Hit
+Health Regenerates for X seconds on hit
+Faster move speed while pulled back
+Enables climbing ledges and/or walls
+Speed Boost on hit (Eviction Notice Effect)
+Each kill reduces respawn time of your next death by one second
+Allows you to see enemy health

***Major Stuff***

+Deal damage to charge up a meter.
Option 1: When the meter is full, jumping while crouched performs a super jump and consumes the meter
Option 2: Allows you to midair jump at the cost of 50% of the meter

When the meter is full, press 'RELOAD' to activate a special arrow for your next shot
The special arrow generates an aura where it lands (or in the air where it flew through?), providing buffs to nearby teammates
All Possible Buff Ideas:
Movement speed (Disciplinary Action Effect)
Damage Boost (Buff Banner Effect)
Damage Resistance (Batallion's Backup Effect)
Health Regen (Might not fit sniper tho)
Weapon Cooldown Meter Regen (literally anything that uses a meter)
Fire Rate
Reload Speed
Ammo Restore
Debuff Immunity
Ignore enemy damage resistances (Enforcer Effect)
Increased Healing from healing sources
Repair nearby buildings
Damage nearby sappers

The aura inflicts debuffs on nearby enemies
All possible debuff ideas
Damage Vulnerability
Weapon Cooldown Meter drain
Enemy projectiles are slowed
Show outline through walls


Possible Negative Attribute Ideas:
-Damage penalty (trade damage for support potential)
-Damage Vulnerability While Active
-Damage vulnerability while pulled back
-less pulled-back time before misfire will happen
-Big damage vulnerability if you've taken more than X damage while pulled back
-Lose health on miss
-Slow yourself on miss
-Slower move speed while pulled back
-Slower reload speed
-Big damage penalty if you've taken over X damage in the last Y seconds
-Debuffs last longer on you
-Taking damage slows you
-Allows enemies to see your health

Attributes that would be boring (wouldn't add or remove a whole lot)
+Projectile penetration (too situational, could be neat to have as a minor thing tho)


Attributes to NOT USE:
+On Kill: enemies' do not recieve a killcam (Apparently this has been suggested for sniper primaries before and experienced players say it would be very unfun to play against)
+Arrow Ricochets on surfaces (Relying on RNG to hit missed shots isn't fun to fight against and this feature was even removed from other multiplayer shooter game(s) for this exact reason)
-Slower Projectile speed (Arrow would be useless if it's any slower than the default arrow speed. See: Pomson)
-Random Projectile Angle Deviation
-Slow player on hit
-Bodyshots cannot kill

+On Hit:
Shows enemy through walls for 2s
Shows enemy health for 4s

-40% Headshot damage

Maybe underpowered, but the concept is there

Maybe it can shoot fast but does less damage or poison arrows that do bleed damage

On Max pullback: Poisons enemy for 5 seconds, dealing 10 damage per second.
+20% Max Ammo
-10% Damage
-10% Pullback speed
+10% Movement speed
Right Click : Marks an Enemy from any range. Killing a Marked Enemy fully restores ammo reserves. Marking another enemy or killing the marked target removes the mark.
+25% Damage against Marked Enemies.
+50% Projectile Speed.
-25% Charge Time
+50% Aim Fatigue
-75% maximum ammo

Don’t make it too complicated

+ arrows inflict bleed over time
+ can pierce to hit a second target

- only mini crits on headshot

Level 80 Tribal Bow

= Bullets replaced with an arrow projectile
+ On hit ally: boosts ally's resistance to damage by 15% for 5 seconds
+ No laser pointer indicator.
+ Friendly Pyros can light arrows to add fire damage.
+ 70% Less maximum charge time.
+ 96% charging movement speed (total of 53% movement speed while charging)
- 20% maximum charge damage.
-48% total ammo.
- No random critical hits.
- Arrows can be reflected, shot down, and vaporized.

Pros:
On Hit: mark a target for heath for 8 seconds

Cons:
-15 health on wearer
