Bug reports
Before you report a bug, please use the steam interface to verify game files and make sure your mods are all up to date. Steam doesn't always zip updates to you right away, and you could be rather far behind.

Report a bug, report a fix for a bug, either way. This place is for bugs, and fixing bugs.

Using the decision to terraform a PD Planetary Habitat to a Lifeless Habitable world left the capital as a Habitat capital once it was complete.
Witherfork  [developer] 9 Sep, 2022 @ 9:59am
What was the planet/habitat type before it was done? Was it a traditional terraform, or a terraform via habitat decisions?
lnodiv 9 Sep, 2022 @ 10:31am
Barren World Habitat on an Iron World, terraformed via planetary decision after researching Dynamic Core Ignition.

Also happened with a Molten World Habitat: Planetary Decision -> Becomes Terraforming Candidate -> Terraform -> Planet still has habitat government building.

There is a bug with building buildings on the elesium instead of looking for the habitat capital its looking for the planetary capital.(only happens with diversity on)
Witherfork  [developer] 11 Sep, 2022 @ 6:30am
@Mbos I believe the elysium stuff was changed a bit in the most recent gigas update, I'll review it again and see what got missed
Witherfork  [developer] 11 Sep, 2022 @ 2:19pm
@Inodiv it looks like it'll only transfer the original starter habitat capital, not the ugpraded one. I'm leaning towards locking the decision behind an upgraded habitat and making all the terraforms only transfer upgraded habitats => capitals, just because it seems way too gamey to drop just one dude on a habitat and then set about terraforming an otherwise unterraformable world
Witherfork  [developer] 11 Sep, 2022 @ 3:01pm
Updated, left it so you can still set up terraforming on a habitat you just colonized as long as you have the tech to do so, set up tiers for how the capital buildings actually transfer though so you don't wind up with major capitals on a colony with 2 pops.

@Mbos I can't reproduce this with PD + Gigas + GD. It correctly looks to the habitat capital as the prerequisite for buildings on orbital elysiums. Be sure to verify the files and/or unsub/resub gigas to make sure you have the latest.

Hi!
Thanks for the update, must have been a fiddly and long one.

With PD removing special deposits from rare planet types, are these lines in "planetary hab-to-rare planet" terraform still needed?
(insert name of rare planet type instead of "lanthanide")

remove_modifier = pdterra_lanthanide
remove_deposit = d_minerals_5
add_modifier = {
modifier = pdlanthanide
days = -1
}
add_deposit = d_lanthanide_deposit

The lanthanide deposit bit, along with references to d_rogue_geo and etc, was removed a couple updates ago, same with a number of others. You might need to verify files to ensure you have the most up to date stuff (or unsub from the original GD to make sure there's no folder confusion when looking at the files?). There's some deposits still being added in hab_to_rare_special yet, but that's because they haven't been removed from PD as of today. Have to wait on PD to get to it, as it were, before I take them all down.

Thanks, I will resub PD then.
Meanwhile I found some missing stuff.

1.
In the following trait files:
pc_alderson_slice_ecu_preference
pc_alderson_slice_gaia_preference
pc_alderson_slice_hive_preference
pc_alderson_slice_machine_preference
pc_alderson_slice_pc_preference
pc_birch_preference
pc_flat_world_preference
pc_giga_penrose_habitable_preference
pc_interstellar_habitat_preference
pc_interstellar_ringworld_habitable_preference

... are missing these lines, that are present in Gigastructures' same place.
pc_bioforge_habitability = 0.4
pc_pdfloraforge_habitability = 0.4
pc_ammonia_habitability = 0.4
pc_methane_habitability = 0.4
pc_ash_habitability = 0.4

2.
These 2 traits files:
pc_alderson_slice_gaia_shattered_preference
pc_void_birch_preference

...are both missing the lines from Gigastructures' same part, at beginning of the code:

initial = no
randomized = no

3.
Code lines for below 2 preference types are missing from this mod habitability file, but Gigastructures misspelled one have them.

pc_giga_elysium_preference
pc_giga_orbital_preference

Nu-baol seeding decision is removed from decision list when mod is active. I only had 2 distinct planet classes when I ran into the issue and they were both PD planet types so I'm not sure if it extends to every planet type
Witherfork  [developer] 24 Sep, 2022 @ 9:15am
Verify game files please, to make sure everything is up to date. Also, what were the planet types you had?
Wildfire628 24 Sep, 2022 @ 5:48pm
Swamp world and Frozen Tidally-Locked are the only two I had settled currently. I'll settle the tomb world that comes with Grunur when I get a chance to see if vanilla planets still hook right. Also, I assume it wouldn't make a difference, but I only have the very first terraforming research unlocked
