The Future of Isekai Mod: Custom PvE Event Ideas
Given that the amount of content in the mod has grown explosively over the last few updates, I've noticed that I have so many options by now that the main game can hardly keep up with this class if I seriously try to expand.

Now, a sane person would see this as an obvious red flag that his mod is horribly unbalanced and they should try to crank it down before they completely ruin the player experience.

I am not a smart person, so that's not what I'm going to do. What I'm going to do instead is create a submod that provides a challenge tailored to the experience. If this mod is meant to provide the Isekai experience, then clearly the answer is to just double down by throwing the craziest ♥♥♥♥ possible at the player.

Army of flying cabbages? Mad wizard decides to plane swap half of Elysium with the freaking Void? Ugly bastard isekai protagonist wanders in from another world to steal yo girls? The sky is the limit!

There are just two main problems with this:
-Custom events slow the game down. I haven't added a single custom event so far exactly because of it, and it's why this event mod would be featured as a separate submod a player can optionally install to have more fun.
-There are so many things I could do that I basically have unlimited ideas, but it's hard to say which ones would be a measurable challenge and which would simply completely roll over the player due to being too overtuned.

This is where you guys come in. Call this a more focused or fancy suggestion thread, but the point of discussion here should be what kind of invasion / monster spawn events we can add to make this mod more interesting to play as a PvE experience, given that it's completely unbalanced for PvP. Think on the style of Monument to Hades, Inferno Invasion, etc.

I'm all ears!

It would be neat to have different kinds of bosses that spawn in different dimensions/planes, possibly a demon lord in inferno (and an option to get a succubus somehow possibly, not necessarily from the boss), God/El in heaven, a nature deity in gaia, etc.

Not sure about the specifics, but could be interesting if these bosses were annoying and sending invasions to the elysium plane, and you would have to invade their plane to stop them.

Good ideas! Setting up the bosses' base in another plane would add the challenge of getting there to the campaign, most likely by having some of the enemies that pop up carry relevant scrolls

This sounds great, gonna pitch in a bit.
1. A rival Outsider would be neat. Spawn in a clone of the outsider and a special gate which spawns stupid enemies endlessly. also make the outsider stationary, which should stop him from rolling over everything. His troops could be called "mindcontrolled warmaiden" for example. (think mindcontrolled waifu)
2. "attack from the underdark" - or some other lofty title. Make a huge number of goblins spawn in every mine in elysium. And yes, I do love me some goblins being gunned down in infantry-fire.
3. "Highjacked Gate" - make a Gate independant. Maybe even spawning enemies like in the first idea. Could even be a follow-up event to spice things up.
4. Maybe some kind of separate scenario where you're stranded in another plane. Giving the player some Meteor-Troops from the beginning and starting in inferno might be fun. Don't know how easy it is to remove your holding in elysium, though. As I remember, the "otherplanar" command didn't work in the past, but maybe it does now.
5. An event where a random enemy gets some self-replicating ressource-generating units. Maybe a small chance to spawn a unit that (again) spawns strong stupid units. something you have to stop before it gets out of control.

Really loved the mod since the beginning (when you first released was exactly the time I started playing with a friend online) so I'm very happy with the recent developement.
Great mod, Kudos to you.

Rival outsider is already playable! It's in the sub-mod
For earlier game, how about monster hunting quests for that good ole' adventurer's guild experience? A bandit army here, some trolls over there, a mad wizard in the forest, a dragon from above, a necromancer's horde over yonder, etc. Just some one and done threats that can be individually tough but don't necessary doom the entire world...unless you ignore that rogue necromancer for a bit too long. Throw in some gold/iron/relic rewards for a adventuring economy...and, of course, some grateful rescued maidens in case you prefer story to the gacha like a heretic.

For more crisis-y events:
- Dragon swarm, because everyone who likes isekai definitely likes Skyrim and the Outsider needs his dragon slayer title. Dragons everywhere, especially wherever that princess of yours is hiding. Maybe kolbolds too, because oh yeah that's a class. Maybe a dragon god to be the big boss that needs to be slain. Could throw em in hades/another plane for further Alduin/Fell Dragon vibes.
- Demon King who doesn't just calmly wait in inferno for you to show up. It's a classic, after all.
- Clockwork Horror: Inspired by the good old Commissar's complete overhaul: the hobbitses have constructed a grand automated clockwork factory that might have been a wee bit too automated. There are now armies of clockwork contraptions marching across the land. Because is it even isekai if you don't end up randomly fighting robots at some point?
- Barbarian Invasion/The Empire strikes back: Huge hordes/legions show up to subjugate Elysium once and for all as an early/mid game threat. They may not stronger than vanilla, but there sure are a lot of them! Besides, who doesn't want to see just how many people the Outsider can solo?
