Features, Ideas, Suggestions
Feel free to mention any idea (related to the planning mod) you have in here. If it makes sense, I might implement it.

Any chance that maybe you want to go crazy and add a sunlamp (with fertility display) designator similar to this very old mod: (you can find a pic that shows what I am talking about as like the 2nd or 3rd pic in original post)

Either way, looking forward to trying this out, thanks!

Btw, saw another post of yours about making it switchable whether or not plans disappear. It should be as that was a switch in the "more planning" mod. No idea how difficult that is though!

I'm actually planning to implement 'fixed shapes', one would be the sunlamp.

Was that switch in the settings menu? Because that's where I'm currently planning to implement it.

Yes, I believe so. I'm about 75% sure it wasn't out in the regular UI anywhere.

You know what, I think I may have a local old game still installed on my PC. Let me check that and see...

Yep, in the mod options there were two options:

-Remove plan after build
-Shift key overrides colors

I think that second one was toggle between allowing holding the shift key to prevent overriding colors already laid down.

I think an opacity filter would be a great addition to this. It's a bit hard to see for specific colors.

Okay, thanks for the feedback. I'm probably going to implement it tomorrow.

This is already on the list of planned features, but right know not a high priority. I'll have another look at it, as it might be relatively straightforward at least for the colored ones.

Sounds good, keep up the good work! It's really nice!

Hey, could you add an option to the mod where after mining a stone block, the plan marker from that block/spot wouldn't get removed?

I made a plan for a mountain base and when a block got mined out, the planning assigned to that spot got removed as well and this makes things quite inconvenient.

PS: Awesome mod, I especially like the different marker styles!

I'm probably going to implement a toggle for this tomorrow.

I'm sure you're already working on this but, as I'm currently struggling through building a circular base with no guidelines so I thought might as well comment, a circle shape for the planner would be amazing and is imo the only real essential feature that this is missing. (Unlike some other people I actually quite prefer this over the simpler planning mod)

One other thing for later as I know this could be technically more challenging, but a way to overlay the floor planner under the other blueprints would also be awesome as I personally like building floors under doors.

Admittedly, higher saturation colors would be great as well, as the current ones all seem very dark ):

That's probably due to the transparency. I'll prioritise this, but I don't think I'll have the time for it today.

Thank you!

More shapes are coming, but it seems there a few other things I have to solve first and unfortunately my time to work on it is limited, especially the next week. :(

Yeah, I just had a similar thought yesterday and I'm glad you're bringing it up. The problem is that I have not much control over the draw order. But I'll create a ticket for it as I think that's a very good idea.

A toggle to hide all plans temporarily would be greatly appreciated. Or even better - an option to change opacity.

Also would be nice if "Cancel designations" order didn't remove plans.

Hiding plans and changing opacity are high priority tasks now.

And thanks for letting me know that using the 'Cancel' designator also removes this mods plans. I'll try to fix it with the next update.

Just a quick update regarding the 'Cancel' designator. Unfortunately the exclusion of standard plans is hard-coded in there, meaning I have to overwrite the responsible method via Harmony.
