[Fixed] Roclets starve without vermin
I've run into a serious issue where my entire fortress is starting to starve and doesn't appear to eat any food from the stockpiles - I noticed while I was on the surface Roclets spend a lot of time running around with 'No Job' chasing vermin, and now that I've moved down into the rock layer they are starving. They'll happily drink booze, but the only ones who aren't hungry are the occasional Roclet hauling wood or something else back down, who seem to detour to the animal pens and hunt the vermin spawned by the bigger birds.

I tested a new world with the same mod list, and the same issue occurs - a dwarven fort in the same world does not have the same issue, so I'm thinking it could be the tag that makes them chase vermin also prevents them from eating normally?

Huh, I thought that tag would make them also eat vermin rather than exclusively, and I guess the forts I tested in still had enough surface access to vermin, or maybe they spent enough time near Emon with the ROOTS_AROUND tag which spawns vermin.

I guess I have to decide whether to add ROOTS_AROUND to roclets or remove HUNTS_VERMIN

I'll remove HUNTS_VERMIN in 1.2.3 and see if that fixes it.

Edit: if you don't want to update, you can just keep more Emon around because they spawn vermin around them naturally

It's uploaded, but sometimes it takes ~10 minuted for steam to approve and distribute the update.

That's fixed it, as soon as I loaded the save the entire fortress swarmed the taverns food stockpile. It's a nice quirk, unfortunately it just really hampers productivity and the usefulness of food.

Excellent, can you edit [Fixed] onto the start of the title of this thread? you don't need any special formatting for the square brackets in titles btw.

Thanks for the playing! And double thanks for being a tester for me!
