1. Are you using the most up-to-date steam workshop version of Weapon Slinging?

2. What is the bug?

3. How do you cause the bug to happen?

1. Yes most up to date version installed and tested

2. Slinging blocks being able to measure windage in ACE.

3. Load ACE3, press Shift + K to get wind direction in top left. Sling your weapon and watch it become a circle (meaning no wind detected)

Comment: Structures, large pieces of foliage (i.e trees, bushes etc) can all block windage. Is there some sort of virtual "cube" being spawned around the character while slinging?

slinging works by creating a weapon holder, so yeah basically

so unless you can blacklist classnames to be ignored by ace, it probably can't be fixed on my end

Thanks for the quick reply! Its not a big problem anyway tbh. Just have to be aware of it so you dont mistakenly read the wind as there not being any. Thanks!

1. newest

2. primary stucks on chest when picking up another primary while holding a secondary.

3. picked up primary from a fallen soldier, while holding my primary. It switched to the "new" primary - the "old" primary getting dropped to the floor. Now I switch to my secondary and pick up the old primary. Result the "new" primary stays on the chest, I can't drop it anymore, nor does the automatic switching / slinging work (the usable primary goes back to the shoulder animation).

Yeah that's basically why you're not meant to use 2 weapons, it's a bit weird

could you possibly provide a video?
Silence  [developer] 1 Feb, 2023 @ 10:09am
infact, if you drop the old primary again can you now swap back to the new?
Val 1 Feb, 2023 @ 11:16am
1) Newest version.

2) While the weapon is slung, the player cannot place anything from the player's inventory to the ground, as it just adds it to the weapon holder that is attached to the player.

3) Sling a weapon, then attempt to drop something on the floor.

So it turns out, lockInventory doesn't actually lock the inventory!
Thanks for the report

I have made an attempt to fix this, but i'm not 100% sure if it'll work

Yes, indeed I can. After dropping it (new or old one) the sling switching works again.

PS I don't have the same problem as mentioned by Val. I can drop whatever I want to the floor, while the weapon is slung.

That's intended, being able to carry two weapons was too cheaty for my liking so you won't be able to sling again until you have space in your primary slot
Bax 2 Feb, 2023 @ 5:05am
For me it had the opposite effect, I was used to only play with one primary and suddenly had two - (although I can only use one). Therefore I expected my old primary to get dropped when I picked up the new one, but since it was slung it did not get dropped. But I understand the intention behind it and it is easy to use. Thanks again.

Looks like whatever workaround you did fixed it, might explain why Bax didn't have the same issue. Cheers silence

1. Are you using the most up-to-date steam workshop version of Weapon Slinging?: Yes

2. What is the bug?: During our OP we had a big frame issue due to our end but what we discovered is that when you switch weapons at low frames and switch back it dupes the weapon you had with no attachments and you can not get the old gun back

3. How do you cause the bug to happen?: Low FPS

hmm, weird
