Character Overview - The Netizen
The Netizen is a hybrid fighter who harasses foes at mid-range before closing in with devastating point-blank punishes. Flighty and tricksy, the Netizen demands that their opponent stay on their toes when they’re around, with many moves that can turn almost any option into a risky one if used at the right time.

Unique Options
Buffer
In a tight spot, but rolling will just make the situation worse? Buffering allows the Netizen to abuse latency and briefly escape reality, sidestepping attacks with all of the invulnerability of a dodge roll and none of the motion. This also stops you in your tracks, even in midair, and can be used to trick foes by delaying your momentum. This move has the exact same frame data as a dodge roll; if you suspect the Netizen is trying to give you the slip, use a slower attack or a short movement to call them out.

Wipe
Ever the peak of grace and agility, the Netizen hurls themself headfirst into the opponent - entirely on purpose, of course - skidding a fair distance before sliding to a stop. This attack has a brief window of invulnerability when it first starts if used during Initiative, allowing the Netizen to glide through attacks that might otherwise catch her running forward and follow up with enough accidental body-checks to bankrupt a small business. This move drops you to the ground if you don’t cancel out of it; make sure to use it wisely!

Specials
Firewall
Never surf the web without proper protection. The Netizen quickly throws up a protective barrier, damaging nearby enemies and guarding against incoming projectiles. The defensive window is small and melee attacks will punch right through it, but projectiles will always be deflected by a Perfect Parry - even if they normally wouldn’t be able to! This can be a great way to get out of deadlock situations and clear the way for your approach, but be warned that the lack of melee immunity means you'll still have to respect the opponent's ability to call you out by socking you in the face.

Proxy
The Netizen is a seemingly omnipresent force, popping up in comment sections and discussion threads so often that it almost seems like they’re everywhere at once. Activating this move places a Proxy, a holographic duplicate of yourself that you can then command to attack. The Proxy’s moveset is a limited mirror of your own, covering a variety of angles. Once a move has been input, you can use the move again to send an additional command; Proxies can only hold one instruction at a time, so don’t overdo it or you may overwrite your previous move! Proxies get bored quickly, and will leave if they have no commands to follow or if they are struck by an attack.

Keysmash
Sometimes, when you don’t know what to write, the correct answer is “everything all at once.” Sometimes, an enemy’s face is there to help you do the typing. With a mighty armored swing, the Netizen aims to leave a keyboard-shaped imprint on the victim’s cheek, causing them to stagger around Dizzy for a moment after impact. This move is a bit slow and lags a bit after impact, so play cautiously around the keyboard warrior if you don’t want a face full of plastic.

Junk Mail
The Netizen hurls a handful of letters forward, which hang in the air and slowly drift to the ground. These projectiles aren’t anything particularly special, but they cover a wide area, allowing you to cover your approach or stop foes in their tracks as they blitz towards you. You can even use it to extend combos, provided the envelopes will reach their target in time; just keep in mind that the move is three relatively weak hits, meaning combo scaling will heavily affect the output.

Adware
The Netizen creates a window that slowly scrolls forward for a bit. Enemies who collide with the window will be rendered Dizzy by dubious deals. Enemies who make the mistake of striking the window with an attack are in for an even nastier shock; the window will deflect their blows and stagger them, leaving them wide open for the Netizen to strike!

Brute Force
Fed up with her opponent’s shenanigans, the Netizen hurls herself headlong at her opponent, wrapping them up into a cloud of dust while pummeling them mercilessly. This move deals a lot of damage, but adds a lot of hits to the combo counter to compensate; this can be a great way to cap off a long combo. It also carries the victim a good distance in the chosen direction, great for setting up corner combos and other tricks.

Pop-Up
The Netizen leaps into the air, hanging above her opponent dramatically for a moment before lunging at them. This is primarily used with Crash to quickly strike from above, but you can also attempt to get the drop on foes with Brute Force from your lofty position. The initial jump also has projectile immunity, which can help you escape nasty situations if timed correctly.

Supers
\
Unidentified Feline Object ("U.F.O.") (Lv1)
The Netizen uses the power of cats and confectionaries (don’t ask) to launch themself across the arena on a sparkling rainbow trail. This move must be launched towards the opponent, but can otherwise be angled freely, allowing the Netizen to quickly close gaps. You can even occasionally extend combos after moves that would normally launch the opponent out of reach!

Banhammer (Lv2)
The Netizen whips out a massive mallet, crushing anything directly ahead of them. This move deals a LOT of damage and sends the victim flying, splatting into walls and collapsing to the ground. This move is both armored and completely unblockable; contesting an imminent ban is ill-advised. The hammer even has fairly generous minimum damage, making this move a great combo-ender for when you need to send a message.

Gameplay Tips
The Netizen prefers to mount their offense from close- to mid-range with a combination of fast pokes and heavier call-outs. While they may not be quite as mobile as other Hustlers in their range bracket, that doesn’t mean they don't have other tools for closing the distance; use Adware and Firewall to cover your approach, then use moves such as Keysmash, Popup, or Wipe to close in for the kill. Aggressive opponents might be tripped up by Adware or Junk Mail, while evasive opponents can be corralled using Proxy. Remember that you don't have to attack with a Proxy after summoning it; in fact, the recovery time is shorter if you don’t, and a Proxy that your opponent thinks is a threat can be just as useful as one that is.

Netizen's kit contains a lot of multi-hit attacks, which can result in damage and knockback scaling racking up quickly. You may need to use combo enders such as Brute Force and Banhammer to reset your combos, chase escaping foes with Proxy or U.F.O., or use Burst Cancel to keep opponents from flying away.

The "Missing Dependency" issue is a known bug with Workshop mods using certain dependencies and the mod should work regardless of whether or not the error message appears provided the manager is installed. That being said, if you're having issues, try unsubscribing from RNG Manager and this mod, then resubscribing to them in that order; I've heard some rumors that the priority system with Workshop mods is a bit buggy, so that might fix it.
