TSC:E FAQ
"Help, I can't get the mod to load!"

Confirm that you have both the Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary and MCC - H1: Multiplayer DLCs installed. Due to an oversight by 343, we can't enforce the MCC - H1: Multiplayer requirement, so you'll have to install it yourself.

If you can't see the map at all, ensure that you're launching MCC with anti-cheat disabled.

"I can't get it to load in co-op!"

Make sure all players can load into the map on their own. Everyone needs to be subscribed to the mod. If anyone is having trouble, see above for possible solutions.

We haven't been able to reproduce a case where all players can play fine on their own, but can't load into co-op together. If you're having this problem, please let us know every player's Steam Build ID, installed DLCs, and language settings, as this may help us identify an unknown discrepancy. You can find the Build ID in the game's Properties page, under Updates.

"I think I found a bug!"

Be sure to check the Known Issues list in the mod's Change Notes! We might already know about it.

"I think I found a bug while playing on Easy!"

Strange things are often intended to happen in this alternate game mode.

"Are you going to make any more of these?"

The TSC:E team has no plans for any more Halo mods, Evolved or otherwise. That said, we do intend to keep TSC:E updated for ongoing compatibility with future MCC patches.

"How do I get back to the developer room?"

At least one player needs to hold the Jump button while the map is loading. You can do this when starting the map from MCC, on any difficulty. You can also do this mid-mission: select "Restart" from the pause menu, and then hold Jump while the map restarts. Just make sure to keep holding the button until you're fully loaded in.

"Can I use stuff from this map in my own mods?"

Absolutely! A full source release, containing all assets, scripts, and custom tools used to make TSC:E, is publicly available here[tsce.info].

Our only stipulation is that you credit the appropriate author(s) for anything you use. The source release's documentation has more specifics.
