If I may make a recommendation as to how to add an NPC-friendly version of the effect (because I believe complaining without offering solutions is childish), I would make it an "instigation" effect that will trigger once the first time you attack an NPC, with a randomized amount of bonus damage and healing. This would emulate the player version of the effect, as though each NPC has a randomized amount of corruption. The NPC could remain immune to Deviancy's Embrace until he exits combat, or simply after a long-duration timer expires.
