Pazuzus do not appear to be protected by ship armor
Hello, sorry to bother you again but I figured I'd raise this issue after I noticed it while playing, and then it bothered me enough to do some more testing to confirm it.

I'm on version 0.93, and it appears Pazuzus aren't protected by the ship's armor like mounts should be. You can test this pretty easily by sticking a bunch of them onto a Gilgamesh or Enkidu like I did, then pit the test ship against two Lahmu gunboats armed with 5 Ishums each, firing HE.

Within not even a minute of sustained fire, Pazuzus were taking damage and were even destroyed by Ishums on both my fully built Enkidu and Gilgamesh. This obviously shouldn't be the case given that Ishums are firing 75mm HE with an armor pen of 15 cm while the Gilgamesh has 110 cm armor and it's the start of the match.

I can confirm this is an issue with Pazuzus specifically since when I swapped all of my Pazuzus into Ishums or any other C1 mount, they were no longer getting knocked out by 75mm fire immediately. I've also tested 120mm HE with Mk62s and the C1 coilguns from Kuiper using AP ammunition and got similar results.

As it stands, the bug turns Pazuzus into weakpoints for the ship.

Ok this one I'm not even sure how is possible because the ability for a system to be hit is entirely determined by the mounting socket on the hull, not the gun itself. So there's absolutely no reason this should be happening because nothing should be changing between weapons on the same mounting point. Are you able to capture video of this happening to send to me?

Here you go, I had to wait for it to upload

Edit: Here is a screenshot of the Lahmu gunboats used in the test as well. I'm currently uploading a video of these tests where I replace the Pazuzus with Ishums instead, I'll send another post once they're up

Here it is, I even decided to test using an opposing Gilgamesh armed with entirely Ishums and you can see compared to the previous test, the Enkidu equipped with Ishums shrugs off the hail of 75mm fire no problem.

Instead, the Enkidu equipped with Pazuzus took noticeable damage from just two gunboats with Ishums.

Well I've got to say this did have me bewildered for a bit, but thanks to this additional context, I've not only been able to resolve this problem, but also your previous issue with the Gilgamesh C5+ forward gun AND an entirely unrelated problem. So I have to give my most genuine thanks to all of this feedback and testing you did because it really has saved the day in this regard. I'm waiting on some feedback with regards to the Melammu and Enki from some other players, but hopefully by the end of today or tomorrow a hotfix patch will be released. Thank you again!

Oh nice! No problem, I'm glad all this tinkering around managed to actually be helpful lol. What ended up being the problem with the C5+ mount and the Pazuzu if you don't mind me asking? I'm kind of curious myself.

The Pazuzu (and other FCR equipped turrets) have to have a sphere collider attached to them for jamming to function against them. However I'd failed to mark the collider as a trigger, which meant it was acting as a physical barrier and causing guns to lose bearing on targets in line with FCR equipped weapons, shells to detonate as if in mid-air, and to allow damage rays to pass through armour as if it wasn't there. A whole suite of issues fixed by a single check box in Unity. Classic stuff.

Why is the abbreviation of Fire Control Radar censored?!

Oh, that's interesting. In typical classic fashion, it was a tiny little oversight lol. Well, glad that's fixed!
