Immersive Concubinage: A Mechanical Overhaul

A couple of questions and some feedback
Thank you ACE for making this mod, it's a great improvement over the imo lackluster vanilla implementation. There's a couple things I wanted to ask:

1. From what I've observed, a child's status (i.e. their Child of Concubine trait) is updated on their birthday. Would it be possibly to speed this up?

If you for example have a son with a concubine (blue trait) and afterwards a son with your wife, if you die before the first kid's next birthday they'll stay as your primary heir because the trait has yet to turn red and take them out of the line of succession.

This can also happen when Elevating a concubine. Because of the delay, you can have scenarios where for a few months a child of an elevated concubine that is just born takes precedence over their older or dominating-sex siblings.

2. There's this part of the mod that I couldn't get to work

"[Elevated] Concubine trait, only automatically assigned for offered concubines if they're of the same dynasty as the ruler offering them."

Even when the ruler offering them (i.e. my character), the concubine and the receiving ruler were all of the same dynasty and house (even relatives), the concubine offered gained the standard concubine trait and not the elevated one. The trait didn't update on birthday if that matters.

Am I missing something here? I was expecting basically that regardless of the receiving ruler's dynasty, they would immediately become Elevated as long as the offerer and the concubine were of the same dynasty.

3. This is more like feedback, but I think it's a bit confusing that the Child of Concubine trait only changes in color and maintains the same name.

I think it'd help to change them for the blue and green variants, something like Legitimized Child of Concubine and Child of Elevated Concubine. You can probably come up with better names.

Less pressing but Tooltips also could use an update, as for example the vanilla one for the Concubine trait claims that childrens of concubines are legitimate which with the new behavior isn't completely accurate. The blue trait is probably the one most in need as it'd make clear that the character is at present potentially in line.

4. It'd be great for extra flavor to add opinion modifiers to the various characters involved.

Like, if you elevate a concubine and legitimize their children, your spouse and legitimate children normally wouldn't appreciate it (I think that's what happens in vanilla with bastards).

I don't think there's an easy way to make the game check that a legitimate child lost precedence and be mad about it etc, but even just a flat opinion malus when the elevating / legitimizing happen would make sense imo.

In terms of what's already in the game, I also noticed that if you legitimize a child of a concubine, while the kid is happy about it their mother doesn't care and neither do their siblings. Conversely, if you elevate a concubine, the children who are automatically legitimized don't get an opinion boost.

Thank you again for your mod work, keep it up!

Thanks for the feedback! Are you playing with any other mods? #2 is one of the things that will break if there's another mod which overwrites the same effect (in this case: concubine_offer_on_accept_effect)

To be honest #3 is the way it is so I don't have to mess with localization.

So I searched for the 'concubine_offer_on_accept_effect' in my workshop folder and it appears that the Unofficial Patch also changes it. It was loaded first for compatibility.

Regardless, even playing with only your mod on a new game I'm unable to get the effect. Would you mind testing it with the following steps?

1. Start as Halfdan Whiteshirt in 867
2. Grant any of your counties to a local noble
3. Offer them your daughter Saga
4. Observe as once they accept, she received the standard (red) concubine trait

Here are some screenshots of the above in action

Does the same happen to you?
