All about Broly
Compared to other Rivals characters, Broly is absolutely enormous, standing three times as tall as Zetterburn. Broly is so huge that his hair is actually higher than the platforms on Air Armada. This gives him incredible range. However, his size and weight make him an incredible target for combos that he struggles to deal with. Additionally, he isn’t actually as strong as his size suggests, with his attacks typically dealing slightly below average damage. To counteract this, he can combo some of his stronger attacks into each other fairly easily and he has either breakable or unbreakable armour on a lot of them.

Basic Attacks
Jab
A fast but weak downwards-angled punch that can combo into itself and other moves at certain percents.

Ftilt
A strong right hook. Not super interesting.

Dtilt
A strong but slow downwards kick. Despite its animation, it doesn’t actually hit above Broly. Has a small spike hitbox at the end of the foot that only hits aerial opponents.

Utilt
A slow uppercut. Has a hitbox at the very top of the motion that has the stun effect, allowing it to combo more easily than the other hits.

Dattack
Functionally identical to Ftilt.

Fstrong
A strong punch with long horizontal range and fairly large disjoint.

Dstrong
A slow but strong sweeping kick with a massive, very disjointed hitbox.

Ustrong
A powerful and relatively fast upwards kick with a huge vertical hitbox.

Nair
A simple aerial punch. Fairly powerful.

Fair
A powerful aerial swipe.

Bair
Identical to Fair.

Dair
A powerful downward stomp. Has a spike hitbox on the feet for the first few frames. Travels downwards fairly fast, potentially leading to an SD if not used carefully.

Uair
An overhead grab move that throws the opponent downwards. Will likely result in an SD if used offstage, in exchange for likely killing the opponent at low percentages.

Special Attacks
Nspecial
A powerful counter move. If Broly is hit with any attack while the super armour is active, he will quickly respond with a counterattack. This counter will be a backhand if the attack that hit him was a melee attack, or an energy beam if it was a projectile. While the knockback of the counter is based purely on the opponent’s damage, the damage increases based on the damage of the attack Broly is countering.

Fspecial
A powerful horizontal projectile. Broly has a hitbox on his body for the first few frames, which can combo into the projectile. Additionally, if this first hitbox hits, Broly can jump cancel the endlag of the attack. The attack also has breakable armour for a few frames before the hitbox comes out. The armour only resists one hit, with a second hit launching him like normal. By holding light or strong while Broly is preparing to launch the projectile, he can increase the damage up to 1.5x and delay throwing the projectile for up to one second.

Dspecial
A grab with breakable armour. If the grab lands, it is followed up by a vertical kick that sets up for a combo. The armour only resists one hit, with a second hit launching him like normal.

Uspecial
Broly fires a powerful projectile straight down, launching him upward. The attack launches the opponent upwards, allowing for aerial combos. The endlag can be cancelled with an attack, jump or airdodge. If the airdodge is downwards, Broly will perform a Fast Downwards Airdodge (FDA), which travels downwards very quickly at the same angle every time, allowing for using Uspecial, then FDAing and using a grounded attack. Uspecial also has breakable armour during the middle.

Super Attacks
In addition to the attacks that all other characters have, Broly also has a set of four Super attacks. Broly starts the match with a quarter of a bar of energy. Broly builds energy when he hits an opponent, based on damage dealt (roughly one percent of energy per one percent of damage). When he reaches full power, he gains access to his Super attacks, which are triggered by pressing Attack, Special and a direction (no direction, left/right, down, up). Using any of these attacks will completely drain his energy to zero.

Nsuper
Broly activates his Barrier, which grants him complete invulnerability for a short time.

Fsuper
A more powerful version of Fspecial. The projectile is much larger and does more damage and knockback. In addition, a hitbox is spawned directly in front of him, extending to the end of the screen. This hitbox will freeze any opponents who are already in hitstun, allowing other attacks to combo into the projectile. This attack has unbreakable armour.

Dsuper
A more powerful version of Dspecial. This attack begins by leaping across the screen directly to the last opponent that Broly interacted with. Broly has unbreakable armour during this jump. When Brolygets near the opponent, he will grab them. Unlike Dspecial which kicks opponents upwards, Dsuper throws opponents downwards, bouncing them off the stage for a better combo setup.

Usuper
A more powerful version of Uspecial. The projectile is much larger and does more damage and knockback. In addition, a hitbox is spawned directly below him, extending to the bottom of the screen. This hitbox will freeze any opponents who are already in hitstun, allowing other attacks to combo into the projectile. This attack has unbreakable armour.

Ultimate Attack
In patch 1.1, Broly was given an ultimate attack. When Broly has two full bars of energy (as shown by a flashing red bar), this attack replaces Nsuper (Barrier). When used, Broly starts charging up, burning through his energy and taking constant damage. Broly has projectile invincibility while charging, so the only way to stop his attack is by directly hitting him before he is finished. After a total of 110 frames (a fairly long time), Broly releases a massive explosion that will almost certainly kill every opponent regardless of percent. This explosion cannot be avoided by rolling, air dodging or parrying.

While this attack’s power is essentially limitless, Broly ends up in a really bad position if he is interrupted, as he can take up to 30% self damage and burn through potentially over a bar of energy.

kind a wish Broly had the lariat express move as one of his ultimates, maybe forward ultimate, but that's just me.
