my extra ideas (possibles)
hi just posting this thread to not clutter up the main page.
these are just some possible ideas on your current theme :)
(thanks for adding the earlier batch)


1) Squash Ball: "in the game of squash, you can only let the ball bounce 1 time."
Right click to activate this once per elite or boss battle, once you activate it, if you only play 1 card acter it, it deals X damage to each enemy, where x = the number of cards you have played this combat :o)


2)
Ball & Chain:
at the start of combat, lose 1 dexterity (until the end of battle) but gain 2 temporary strength (which loses 1 per turn)
&
during boss battles, if you only play attacks in a turn, swing it to deal 5 damage at and of turn to a random enemy.


3) Ballti Chicken : = gain +2 Max HP from eating this tasty curry
& during boss battles, your first attack also sets the target on fire causing +2 damage for each card you play this turn while its on fire.


4)
Ball-erina: nimble skills give you at the start of combat you gain 1 dexterity (until the end of battle)
& during boss battles, you gain 2 dexterity.


5) Cue Ball: boss relic?
Whenever an enemy gets stunned, gain another turn :) (sort of like when someone puts the cue ball in a pocket by mistake, you get a free go) :)
& IF you stun 3 times in a row, you get stunned instead :)
[if this is too tricky to code with compatibility, maybe it just lets you auto-play the top card of your library?]


6: ----deep: if you already have 5 or more of these relics, gain +1 strength of dexterity for each additional one past 5, during boss fights.
(but might be a case of nsfw) :o)

7: Ball-Bearings: These are often used in skateboard wheels, for smoother skating. = when you activate (any) relic, gain +1 temporary Dexterity until end of the turn.

(i just thought of one, please feel free to add it in some way if you would like)
MudBall = a brick made of mud, can be used to make a small wall, or can be thrown at something.

"Whenever you take damage from a source, gain 1 block at the start of your next turn per source.
+
"Whenever you deal damage to an enemy, deal 1 damage to it at the at the start of your next turn"

(basically its just a something to help defend when taking a beating, and something do help chip away at enemies when you are attacking them, but if an attack does multiple hits like an X spell, then it would trigger it per hit etc) :lunar2019piginablanket:

hey thanks for contributing so much, i'm kind of tapped for relic ideas so it's nice to get some fresh thoughts on the plate. these are very interesting too. i'll see which of these i can slot in, but just for future reference i won't implement anything that's overtly sexual in nature, it kind of goes against one of the core themes for this mod

what i'm aiming for is to fit "balls" in as much as possible without having to resort to more obvious jokes that people would expect. essentially the thumbnail is there to make them think this is a super inappropriate mod, then actually it's pretty innocent since the sexual connotation is left completely up to the interpretation of the player. so we want as few direct references to ball sacks / testicles / etc. as possible to maximize the effect of the juxtaposition

overall though, you're killing it, i've been using chatGPT to generate the relic names and here you are thinking of ones that neither the model nor I could come up with after hours of brainstorming, you're also incorporating the themes around the balls themselves in the relic effects, bravo

hehe yeah its just how my mind works, i think of something and it finds things connected :) (its the same with my mod for rimworld lol, ive got about 12 themes of ideas with hundreds of small bits of paper on my table and only managed to make 3 themes boxes of items so far - the ideas come quickly, but trying to code in xml etc and find usable images etc all takes time)
hello, I'm also here to post another 2 idea's for relics to see what you think about them.

Disco Ball (uncommon relic for all characters), at the start of combat gain 3 dexterity and barricade.

Fire Ball (common relic for all classes), whenever you play a card exhaust a random status or curse card in your hand, draw 1 card whenever a status or curse card exhausts. at the start of each turn add a burn to your hand.

I hope that both of these ideas as well as my previous 2 suggestions of the millennium eye-ball and the lotto ball get added in a future update.
