!!!!! The mod "Clear Universe" is HIGHLY, EXTREMELY optional, as it removes a lot of stations and sector ownerships that the major factions would otherwise have on a fresh game start. It is highly recommended to pick the sandbox gamestart (Play Open Universe > Custom Game Editor (Creative)), as I am very sure that gamestarts that put you on a station when you start a new game will not work. I have put the mod at the very end of the list to find it easier.

Same for the mod "After the Fall", which puts you in a scenario where the Xenon have won and have overrun the galaxy

!!!!! Currently, the "Mod Support APIs" mod does not work correctly in it's 1.89 version, but it works in it's 1.88 version (I tested it). This is important for right click menu options and context menu options (such as Better Piracy's "Harass"). Until this is fixed, get the 1.88 on GitHub: https://github.com/bvbohnen/x4-projects/releases

!!!!! For now, the majority of mods on this list seem to work fine. I have only played a few hours on a new [7.0] save, but from what I can tell, there are no major gamebreaking errors or bugs. If you encounter anything, write it in the discussion.

For those who are new to modding X4: mods are called "extensions" and there is a dedicated folder in your X4 install location. The way the game installs mods is this: when you put mods in the extensions folder, they are not installed instantaneously. Instead, the game checks for new mods when it is launched and only then installs them. So you can add and remove mods to your liking before you launch the game.
The mods from Nexus come in a .zip folder. Use an unzip program (I use 7zip), then inside the unzipped folder (which has most likely some numbers and letters added to it) there is a normal folder with the name of the mod. That folder you need to move to the extensions folder. Then you can launch the game.

By adding "-logfile debuglog.txt" to the start options under properties, you can enable logging. This is a good way to find errors or check what the game is doing. The log is then deposited in the install location.

!!!! I've noticed that it may occur that unnecessary mods will reinstall themselves, even if you have unsubscribed from the workshop page....
Unfortunately, I don't know how to fix that... the only thing you can do is to disable them ingame via Settings > Extensions

I can happily report that the Mod Support API works again, after being updated to 1.90
Both the Equipment Tooltips and the Harass option from Better Piracy work again, indicating that the API has been fixed
