Currently only possible through looting. Boosters can't be installed in oil filter silencers, only actual pistol caliber silencers.

I was confused so i’ll put it here (don’t know if it’s elsewhere, probably is), in order to use the tap & die set to thread a guns barrel to be able to put a silencer on it, you gotta find the magazine that teaches ur character how to be able to thread said barrel. gonna need aiming lvl 3 + metalworking lvl 4 to do it so while ur searching, level those up! you can craft homemade silencers if you can’t find any but again have to find the magazine for its recipe.

Threading barrels or making a thread adapter should not require the skill mag. You just need the required skill levels. Only silencer construction and full auto conversions require the skill mag.
