FAQ
How does the Conquest of Rus work for the AI?
- Under the dynamic game rule, an AI realm will need a Kingdom, >10 provinces, and some gold and prestige. They will gain several thousand event troops and offer neighbors the chance to submit before declaring war. While powerful, they gain less event troops than other vanilla invasions, as this is meant to be more contingent and not always successful.

How does the Conversion of Rus work for the AI?
- The AI is more likely to take the decision with a large realm, and when ambitious, cynical, or piety focus. It requires a Kingdom and at least 20 provinces. They will only convert to religions followed by an empire within diplomatic range or Rus-culture kingdom, and are more likely to do so if the religion is followed by other characters or provinces within the region. It will fire an event for other Rus rulers giving them the choice to convert.

What faiths are available through the decision?
- The decision will present Ash'ari, the nearest non-Sunni Islam, Kabarism, a non-Abrahamic reformed faith if any are within diplomatic range, Catholicism, Krstjani, Orthodoxy, and a Christian heresy if within range, as options.

You will get beneficial events for converting to most major religions.

How do I get Byzantine trade deals?
- You will automatically receive a trade deal event if you convert to the Byzantine Empire's religion using the Find a New Faith for the Rus event chain. If you are a king with at least 25 provinces, you will also receive a trade offer if you successfully raid any Byzantine province.

How does Ladder Elective work?
- Ladder Elective prioritizes eldest brothers, but will give them a malus if they stand to inherit any other ladder titles. The heir to the kingdom of Kiev will have a huge boost to inhering the Duchy of Kyiv. Vassals of different rulers are disadvantaged. Characters whose (deceased) father previously held the title get a big boost as well.
