The only reason I'm calling this one out is, in the original is supposed to be a different item that drops that you would put up to create the portal out. I know the stone portal thing wasn't possible with the Grimrock game, and this is the workaround, but.. am I missing something?

It is true, that if a player does not bring the Stone Portal Gem from Drow Temple and does not find the second Stone Portal Gem in the Azure Tower 4, they might find themselves softlocked in this area. The same is true for the original. I hope, that you read the comment from 9th Feb in the comment section, where another player found himself in the similar situation. The only solution to this situation (other than reloading an older savegeme) is to use the console again and spawn the Portal Gem Key with the command:
