1. Kitsune is going the wrong way in the game and where ever she goes she got bugged in between like a door and a wall and just keep going back and forth.

2.at the beginning when the gangers are shooting jake a couple go back and forth and then each singlely shot jake then to the SNES version they all shoot at once but i see whats the problem if this is fixable if not i can understand as i have played Returns and saw the combat and i see how you tried to us the Returns and work it with the Snes version hopefully it can get fixed without this Return combat blocking you guys.

so far in the art is great only thing you can do is make the fox a super lighter brown and add white to the end of the tail so it looks more like a fox only thing they didnt fix in the Snes version and try and see if you can move jake closer to the intersection like in the Snes version.

1. There are some random issues with how they move... I'll have to go through the logic and try and find out why.

2. The running back and forth is something weird with how they interpret enemies. I'll have to look more into that portion.

Regarding them shooting at once, that is a limitation of the game engine. They have to take turns.

3. The ganger who punches... I probably gave them a weapon they aren't skilled enough to use. I'll take a look and make sure they are using their "best attack" as well.

4. By making the fox a lighter color, you mean the animal sprite which runs in the opening scene? Sadly I can't adjust that. Its the existing dog prop. If we want sprites to move, then we need to use the out of the box ones. (For the octoboss and Drake we use custom props, but they are stationary)

here the deal

ok so............lot of problems.

good start but it has things to fix

ok so far as i have been looking into the intro more i notice that the second time i tried the intro Kitsune didnt glich out....good news right no.

really need to fix the gangers they keep going back ALL OF THEM GO BACK that i not suppose to happen they need to stay still and shoot a GUN at Jake till he dies.

need to change the mage in this scene to a gun holding a gun shooting a Jake.

need to change the ganger throwing the bombs at Jake to a guy holding a gun shooting Jake.

OK if you have seen the ORIGINAL ROBOCOP 1st film you should remember he Murphy got blown to pieces literally what im trying to say is that this Robocop scene is what you are suppose to feel like when Jake gets killed by these guys. Here im not feeling it.

make sure to fix the guys to run away from Jake after they kill him.No Walking.

Now need to really fix the scene where Kitsune (FOX FORM) comes into play. Here the Fox runing towards Jake is Suppose to look like a FOX need a british bull dog all muscler and big boned looking dog and dark werid looking brown. No a Fox is suppose to look like a Fox just look at the skinnyness of the Fox from the SNES Version and a Long tail and at the tip add white like a Fox.

Also in this scene MAKE IT LOOK MYSTERIOUS dont tell the story take out a fox runs in and the shapeshifts to a young women make it mysterious like the SNES Version for me when i found out that it was Kitsune is was an awesome feeling and sloved many questions that i had it was a fun feeling to find out Kitsune was the one that saved me but in this scene you guys are giving it away easy so take out the fox people should be able to tell that its a Fox and a Young Woman like in the SNES people could tell that its a woman and a fox.

One of the bugs i found as i was futher looking on to the intro it seemed to repeat this bug so keep that in mind this bug was where you see Kitsune (Fox Form) runing in and she shapeshifts to her human form and starts to heal Jake now you can see her healing Jake forever and in the corner see the 2 morgue guys just standing there so thats one of the bugs i found.

To remind you of this scene: the scene in the beginning you see Jake running down the street and then behide him is the Gangers/Assassins following Jake then Jake stops in the middle of the 4-way intersection and turns around to see the gangers and quickly the gangers shot their guns all at once and then bam Jake is dead falls to the ground dead after that you see the gangers leave the scene to see a mysterious Fox run up to Jake and quickly transforms to a woman and Casts A Healing Spell On Jake To Heal Him then she quickly runs out of the scene and 2 to 3 seconds later you then see the morgue men coming to pick you up to take you to the morgue.....end of scene.....game starts.

GAMEPLAY:

so far i haven't gotten that far all i know that everything seems to work out find but first off the way Jake can leave to get the morgue guys running is NOT a DOOR its something else not working out because obiously in the original in programing the door the second you/Jake/Player opens it the door would trigger a signal which the morgue men recieves and then when they recieve it boom they quickly scream and run into the closet. In here because that is not the case you walking in doesnt work because when you walk in you literally get between the 2 morgue guys and then they scream and what seems they teleport to the closet which looked funny but seriously was messed up

THE BIGGEST PROBLEM: No Music! Literally just add the original music if you have to that soundtrack was the best game soundtrack i've ever heard so use that track for this the music is really what brought the game to what it is today a LEGENDARY GAME WITH THE BEST SOUNDTRACK IN GAMING HISTORY.


And the last thing of all DON'T MAKE THE GAME EASY DON'T HOLD THE DAMN PLAYERS HAND DURING THE WHOLE GAME ITS NOT FUN AND RUINS THE GAMES FUN!
its what made the nes/snes/gensis/3do/etc. games fun you made the player think made them think made them use their head to figure things out and i know that people are going to trash the game that ohh i hate the fact that the guys in the street are super annoying that it really made me mad and that ohh i got lost in the game.Dont listen to them these are just people who in this era are used to playing games now r days game that hold your hand and this was seriously one of the problems of Shadowrun Returns and the fact that the player is basically lead in a maze where they cant use their head to find anything out its like hey game why dont you just figure everything out for me and just play the game for me and i'll just watch it like a movie.Also the fact the player is lead in by a maze you really dont feel like your in a city but your in a maze. Besides that the SNES Shadowrun game was perfect don't try to change things that made the game mysterious fun and enjoyable and i loved the game mostly for the little tricks it played on you. So all im saying mainly is DON'T HOLD THE PLAYERS HAND.

So ya thats it so far i really like how in the beginning you guys did like a thing where you are preparing the player for awesomeness minus the buging stuff but ya when its done add that at the super very start where you then there can choose who you are and the creator and helpers and testors get to greet the player like ''Welcome to the best game you have ever touch something everyone that worked and helped with the game can each say something that can make the player get motivated and get ready for the greatest game the player has every touched. Really like that I Approve ;D.

Just a quick reply so you know I hear you

PROLOGUE
:9mm: The Prologue is weird. EVERYTIME it runs something different bugs out. Don't worry, it'll be getting a go over once game play and balancing are set.
:9mm: Completely forgot it starts with Jake running. That's my bad! When I update the prologue its easy enough to fix that.
:9mm: Fox model - unfortunately its either using the existing dog model or nothing. This is a limitation of the game engine.
:9mm: Regarding the "narration" in the prologue. Some of that is left over from the initial versions before we knew how to do some things. I'll see what can be updated. I should be able to make her do the heal animation which should also help with some of the timing issues.

GAMEPLAY
:9mm: I understand what is happening when you exit the morgue room... I can add a movement interrupt so the morgue guys trigger before you end up in the middle. As it is currently, your turn ends when you finish moving, then theirs begins.
:9mm: This scene has been untouched for the longest time... You are the first person to mention their funny teleport! Thank you for that! I should be able to make them use the door properly.

MUSIC
:9mm: First, to clarify, you are hearing music right? Just not the original soundtrack?
:9mm: Unfortunately, despite MANY people requesting this, we cannot edit the music in the game. Its a limitation of the game engine. I believe someone found a hack for it, but its not something we can distribute since it requires editing the core game files.

DIFFICULTY / HAND HOLDING
:9mm: As a note, no difficulty balancing has been done. You may have noticed the start of it where you can adjust the spawn rate. (Spawn rate needs to be adjustable because the turn based nature can make it REALLY annoying)
:9mm: One thing I hope to do is present people the option to enable or disable "hand holding". By default it will be disabled.
:9mm: We have primarily used the original text from the game (literally, ripped from a ROM file). There are some placed we added random helpful comments though. Let us know if you think any are too obvious / blatant.

INTRO / CREDITS
:9mm: Glad you like the intro.
:9mm: We originally had all the helpers names listed on slabs in the morgue if you revisited. Unfortunately it resulted in too much clutter so we'll have to rely on the end credits instead
:9mm: We have a special section in the credits for people who finish playing end to end in the Alpha as well. ;)

And the one thing I will warn you about is I am completely overhauling the hired runner logic so if (when) you run into issues with that, they probably will be fixed in the 3.2.1 update.

Prolugue: cool glad to hear things are gladly improving

-WOW, basically you are saying because of the Returns the in side of the game's assets you are super limited to things. So im guessing now all is left to do is IMPROVISE. I have no problem with this we can just work around it.

-Healing issues: good this would make it easier when it goes into programing like you said timing which is important for the morgue guys to come in, in the right time.
In this programing i think the second Kitsune runs out of the scene in programing she should to be sending a signal which the morgue guys recieve and then that would trigger the timer and for best timing the timer should be set to 3 seconds. This would be great and more realiztic that the morgue guys get there a little time after Kitsune leaves the scene.

REMEMBER: It has been Many Years Of Games Becoming More Advance so with all these years of games advancing remember to use these years into making the game more and more real well real in the since what would happen here connecting to the game.
Trying to say in the Prolugue when Jake died and Kitsune left the scene picture like here in the real world what would happen if a guy got killed like that it would take about 3 to 5 seconds for the morgue guys or medic guys to pick up the dead body and take it away.
But really trying to say that All These Years Of Games Advancing Use This To Make The Game More Better And More Real.

If the game's engine doesn't limit this try to change the floppy things when you exit the morgue room to in programing after you leave the morgue/dead people slab room Jake would Stop moving and then it would send a signal to the morgue guys to run into the closet. Before Jake exits can you change the floppy blue things to a door makes it easier for the signaling or programing and it would more or less be the same to the SNES Version.

Hand Holding: Turn on and Off GOOD IDEA! ;D
That should bring in the Hand Holding gamers in to the game. yay! more fans!
This is going to be dumb but when you say original text you mean the original story lines people say in the story?....''There are some placed we added random helpful comments though.'' If you are trying to REFER to the text above Kitsune in the Prolugue i suggest to take that out because it needs to be a mystery of who saved Jake even if the world knows who it was that saved Jake. But since the engine limits the dog sprite for the use of the fox sprite then when Kitsune (Fox Form) comes into play leave the part of the text above Kitsune (Fox Form)'s head saying '' That a Fox is running towards Jake'' keep that so people know its a fox still deciding if you should take that out. But i can only give my best opinion in this if when i get to Kitsune in the Story and see how see transforms to the (Fox Form) in the bar shes at in the SNES Version so if i can get to that scene then i can give my best opinion.

Hired Runner Logic: ok, im looking forward to see how you guys are going to work with the Returns format of Hiring honestly the hiring format in Returns shouldn't give that much problems as i think its simulator to the SNES Version. I think.

Well later on tonight i will be checking the Reboot and be looking forward to be working with you guys on this Awesome Masterpiece and I know that there are some limitations when it comes to the game's engine and all of that but that doesn't mean that WE CAN'T MAKE THE BEST SNES SHADOWRUN REBOOT KICKSTARTER CAN BUY! ;D

Alright thanks for letting me be heard sometimes i try to help others in other games but don't reply back so im honored to be heard definately from one of the guys from the Reboot team of this Personal game to me so all im going to do is make it better than making it worse and do everything in my power to work with the Team to make this game to a MASTERPIECE! not like it already wasn't lolXD. ;D

Regarding the hired runner logic -
We are pretty much the same approach as the original. You talk to them in their hire locations and they join and follow you. We did add the ability to call them up (as if with a cell phone), and that is one of the features which will be part of the runner overhaul.

Regarding credits -
:9mm: The people listed on the mod page itself are people who did actual mapping / editing of the files. (And I really wish Slayer of * would change his name back to what it was... I might have to remove him from the contributors on the page and just add him to the credits.)
:9mm: Pretty much ALL of that work is done. What we need now are simply people to enjoy the mod and tell us when they encounter bugs so we can fix them.
:9mm: Everyone else who helps and wants credit for their work will be listed in the end game credits.
:9mm: The end game credits has a "Prime Runner" section for players who complete the game during the Alpha (permanent bragging rights!) since those players need a lot of extra patience and tend to send us quality bug reports. Currently there are two people in that list. Based on how enthusiastic you are I was hoping you'd be the third ;)
:9mm: We also have an opt in "play testers" section in the credit for players who send us useful bugs and want credit. (You'd be surprised how many people don't want credit)

Regarding being an NPC -
Though it doesn't happen often, I have added a couple helpers in as characters. If you find us lots of bugs, I have no issue modeling / naming one of the existing NPCs after you. There are a lot of nameless characters (bartender, waitress, business man, etc), its fun to personalize them.

Not getting paid -
Remember, we are ALL volunteers, so none of us get paid. Back when I started the project I made it very clear that we were doing it for free because we want to see it happen. Its part of why its taking us so long to finish. (And wow, I just realized... I've put over 700 hours in... Scary!)

Future Plans / Authors list -
:9mm: It does sound like you have a LOT of ideas that you want to add.
:9mm: Once we get to beta (which is getting much closer!) we will start to think about adding more features, revamping the matrix, porting to SRR:HK, and other things.
:9mm: If you want to get your hands dirty and dive into the editor at that point, that would certainly earn you a place in the author's list!
:9mm: I really do want to have a better matrix in the mod. Once you play it, you will see how poor it is. (I tried mimicking the minesweeper approach in one point, and made some other experiments, but I've been unhappy enough with them that I pushed them back to the beta and am relying on conversation windows instead). If you want to make some matrix maps we can see about adding them in and adding you to the elusive author's list. ;)

TL;DR - What we really need is people to play, have fun, and tell us the bugs they find! :snaggletooth:

Well, Ok im fine with some of the things you said:

NPC: i'm fine with that i need to do my job in finding bugs and other stuff to earn an My Own NPC.
YES If I Do Earn A NPC I Want To Be The Bartender That Gives Jake The Ice Tea! ;D

Hired Runner Logic: Everything seems fine to me about it and really like the touch with that you could hire them through phone.

Ideas: Look when i said i will then go crazy with ideas i meant that i will say a bunch of ideas that you will check off on if you like it or not.
I will give out some of my ideas later on tonight. ;D

Matrix: I'll get to work on the maps right away! Thanks for the honor! ;D

Matrix Maps: How many? Are you going to do the Bots and Data?

TOO LONG;DIDN'T READ!: The info i sent before was important and i think you should read it all. I got the fact that you are just trying to brief me on things but for the sake of it. It would make me feel better if you read the things i said. But to be honest i dont really know what you didnt read?
sry if i was to hard...just when i get into things i get super serious and stay/get on top of things.

Not getting paid: I knew that i wasn't going to get paid but like you i'm not in it for money or credit (even tho i want credit so at the end of the day it was worth it and i earned something in the game (NPC,hopefully author credit if you like the maps im planing. fingers crossed) and at my resume so in the future when i try to apply at a Game Developer at least i can say i worked on this project and that project. This is true but this is something I'm very passionate for.) I'm in it because of how special this game is and still is to me and also how personal this game is to me too. ;D

Music:

In prologue when i alt-tabed out it messed up the prologue making it not rain and the music changed to what sounded like an airplane noise and messed up the gameplay too even when i got to the morgue it keep playing the weird airplane noise.

In Prologue: Don't make the gangers run forward like in the Alpha's prologue in the SNES Version they all run back well there came from/ when they first enter the scene following Jake after they kill Jake they all at once run back not forward.
Be sure to have the ''Seem Familiar...'' song from the SNES Shadowrun Soundtrack song playing when the prologue starts. (The song used in the SNES Shadowrun Prologue)

''Porting in Shadowrun Returns: Hong Kong''? What do you mean by that?
