just don't know what he did to fix it.
it basically happens over and over just by doing different things like in the editor placing an asset CRASH!

DaveOfDeath: That will get you assets, but not until you start a new (or open an existing) content pack. Adding resource packs (seattle, Berlin, etc...) Is where you get the assets.
DFDC workshop because of the advanced cover mechanic improvements over the vanilla DMS era combat. The UI got better, additional animations/models/magic/equipment/etc...
Much the same reasons to go from DMS to DFDC as there is to go to HK. Only difference is DFDC didn't lose any assets from the DMS game, or the original dragonfall.
DaveOfDeath: Shadowrun.ini in the documents\Shadowrun director's cut\
DaveOfDeath: That will wipe out whatever corrupted editor settings you have. Then open the director's cut editor. (either from in-game or from your gog directory)
DaveOfDeath: Then you need to hit file, path settings (near the bottom.of the file menu) and point it to the location of the core game files.
DaveOfDeath: On a standard gog windows install, it's something like "c:\gog games\shadowrun dragonfall director's cut\streamingassets\common\content packs\"
DaveOfDeath: Then close and reopen the editor. (It's weird about file changes like that.)
DaveOfDeath: THEN you can open a Content pack and should be error free.
The Deadmans switch
Seattle area...
Coreshadowrun....
instead of starting it with Deadman's switch change it to like Seattle Area or Coreshadowrun and see if that helps this CAN GO WITH ALL EDITORS!
Good Luck! ;D
